2 things:

– when mixing old school with new stuff try to find tracks that will blend with new productions without big difference in sound (it kills the feeling for me)

are there goa tracks that have production quality similar to new tracks?..the goa tracks i used are all flac files that should be lossless right?..I tried to use the highest quality files to minimize the sound quality difference but still keep the intended theme of the mix.
– split your mixes between tracks please 

Can anyone tell me what to use to do this?

I like the mix from approx. 20min till the end.

What do you do when you listen to an album and it gives you the vision for the mix and many tracks from it would be perfect for it??:)

Time of Illusion is a very well made album which made it hard for me not to take tracks from it:) I kinda see myself as a person promoting

the artists i like..not just my skills as a dj..does that make any sense??

COngratulations on a successful party..:) nice to see people having a good time in Minneapolis..this party shows that MSPaul needs multiple genres of music to bring people out in good numbers..great deco done inspite of the space restrictions..

unfortunately i had to leave within 2 hours of getting in because I was not able to move or breathe in the space let alone dance or enjoy myself..only thing to keep in mind next time is to get a bigger, ventilated, well laid out venue to be able to accomodate these many people so. I saw a lot of people leave through the time i was there because of the reasons I mentioned.

Thanks to everyone that came out this Friday!! I have to say that the event was exceptionally well organized given the time limitations that were unavoidable..

Kudos to the crew involved for the deco. Its great to see people put that extra effort into a gathering rather than just showing with speakers and lasers..It was the best rented sound system I have heard in Minneapolis..!! clean and crystal clear sound where you could listen to all beats in the track..:) what a treat for my ears..almost a little bit too much I would say..will have to stay off listening to music for a while after that night..

To all the people that listened to my set..hope that you had a good experience. The theme of the set was TRANSITION and I started off with some dark progressive to twilight and finished the last half an hour of the set with spiritual old school goa goodness!!

I will be posting the set soon and will be using that as a demo.

Again thanks to all that made the event happen and hope that we can do this again soon with better of everything!!
I was however hoping to get some Psyowans to bring the vibe up to where it needed to be..well..maybe next time we will get more
support from them..:)
