famiableMemberChoosing dates is always hard..but sometimes there is no way to avoid conflicts..atleast its not the same city for both gatherings..
The good and the bad of the scene exploding..
famiableMemberI hope this is not a sick joke.. >:( ::) š ;D..its a close call to announce it so near to the date but I think the line up is so strong that
they are willing to take the risk of changing people's plans..now give it up!!
famiableMemberWhats the lineup??!! This is very exciting..yaayy….:)
famiableMemberIs the DNX file Dan efex's set that night? Thanks for the info!!
famiableMembervenue – great..large with lots of space to take chill breaks and arrange different stages with minimal sound bleed.
deco – could be better ..not much effort on the deco side which is normal for Minn standards..the Intellephunk room looked like a dungeon which seems to be their preferred theme..bar code art was a nice touch..:) people were eating it up..!!
lasers and sound – betty looked superb!!..there were some well timed moments that looked spectacular..nice one tim:) Hope someone took some video for later viewing..I was wondering why she was pointed downwards when she is supposed to be so strong so as to burn a cigarette? I was always trying to get out of her hitting my eyes..lol..
LOUD!! should have brought earplugs..the sound in the Intellephunk room (L-Acoustics speakers) sounded more crisp and clean compared to the Uncensored room (Martin sound) where it was very loud but muddy..during P ooze's set..the bass was masking all other freqs ..mids and highs could have been better balanced..compared to the raindance main stage system, this one was louder but not as clean..
I guess Sacred earth cant come too soon for me:)!! Open air baby:)

famiableMemberMaybe thats exactly what they want us to be….worked up.. š® š ;D š
Natives getting restless!Ā
famiableMemberWhat an experience:)
Hats off to the Orgs for throwing a beautiful gathering..you have something special in iowa and you are lucky to have it..The vibe was a little bit off during this one..maybe due to some new people who were there for the first time but the regular's presence made it up for me..
I was spending more time catching up with people rather than being plastered on the floor as I realize that the people are as much or more important than the music..
It was nice to see Ritesh,Uday,Blake, Abe,Arvind, Ben, Chris, Nick, Mallory, Courtney, Rachel, Lynda, Mike, andy, ben, Adam, Anita and all the others..sorry if I am missing any names..:P
the night started off beautifully with some nice trold tracks played by Alien Audience..
Facehead is a great performer ..he was intense but amazingly addictive..at times I thought this guy is getting harsh ..yet I could not get myself to leave the dancefloor..great performance..calm presence on the stage yet the music was anything but….:)
Konflux played some funky dark if I may call his music as such..refreshingly different..the crowd was definitely eating it up..
The chill room was surprisingly packed throughout the night..toki played some gr8 tracks as usual and I was surprised to see Anita spin for the first time..:)
I was kinda off balance during the later part of this gathering because of some brain lag from intense experiences..but it was a learning experience and thats what important..:) I ended up playing for longer than expected.. 2 hrs instead of one..and Psi Fu rescued me a couple of times during that stretch ..thanks man!!Ā
I played tracks that I felt would make a nice transition from night to morning with some spiritual chill moments thrown in between..played a lot of Sphongle and Goa and was pleasantly surprised to see the intense reaction to a couple of tracks that are my favorites..Hope that everyone who was listening went through the same positive learning experience as myself.
The news about Abe definitely put a damper on my spirits at the end of the party..and I found myself pulling back..me and anusha packed up our things and left during airyck's set..Thanks to Uday and Ritesh for being such gracious hosts and hope that you guys continue to have these gatherings for a long time..:)

famiableMemberwe will have the film crew out of there by midnight though, so no worries š
Those guys aren't what I was talking about. I'm talking about being aware of the possibility that the local corporate TV station may try to do some sort of sensationalistic extreme reporting. I'm only saying it because we have had it happen here in MN many times and they always do a hatchet job. Our security hunts these guys down and boots em. Fear sells… (“What are YOUR kids doing tonight?”)
I agree with Nate on this one..hatchet jobs are common to get people riled up..
famiableMemberI want to go!! Need a ride though..More than happy to pitch in..:)

famiableMemberFinally a good full on mix to listen to….by the way Djs make mixes nowadays..it seems the world is a depressing place to be..lol
Good track selection..

His concepts and execution has always been exceptional!!:)..I think he does flyer's for trancepsyndicate regularly too
famiableMemberMy question is whether Matt was utilized for the party or not? I thought Skroller would have pointed out his talents to you before and I also had the chance to meet him during rave r treat..seems to be very skilled at what he does..what do you think?
Um, the guy is from Oregon.
Save your sarcasm for your ignorance.. ;D š š 8)Ā I was introduced to him at Rave R treat by Felix and he told me he stays in Minneapolis now..
