I will be creating my 'Giving Tree' sculpture at the event. This project is an interactive art installation and I am hoping that many people will participate.

The idea of the project is to have lots of goodies for the taking incorporated throughout the sculpture. People are encouraged to also 'give back' by leaving something special or interesting for others to find and enjoy.

So if you're interested, bring along something special and share in the experience and help my tree grow!  😀

What would the domes be used for? Would the art they are bringing be incorporated into the domes or a part from them? How big are the domes?

It would be great to have them come out. As for comped admission, could they at least pay the camping price (I think I remember it being $16 per person or something). When would they arrive to set them up? I'd like them to be set up before Friday evening . . .

I think it is awesome to have more people and artwork involved with our events, but it seems that everyone always wants to be comped for their contributions. I don't understand that mentality . . . I've always viewed my artwork as a contribution to the community, not something I need to be compensated for. I also understand the logistics and costs of driving out all the supplies and putting time and effort into the projects. Maybe we could work out some sort of discount or something? My random thoughts . . .

I'd definitely be interested in doing a 1/2 hour stretch and body movement workshop ~ anyone else interested in helping? Last year Machi talked about breathing which rocked.

Did anyone happen to take / or see some one walking out with the two large fuzzy pillows from the chill area?

They were home made and I miss them greatly . . . :'(

Resonate is Chicago's annual “pre-compression” for Burning Man. The last few years have been pretty rockin, lots of people look forward to this event. Although it's traditionally held in the city limits, last years event ended up a little out of hand. I have only heard tentative plans for Resonate thus far.

I have no clue where it will be held, right now they are planning on the 21st of March . . .

    Abe, thank you!

I too feel very fortunate to be a part of this beautiful, growing community. My heart and soul thrive on the support, love, and experiences I gain through participating and being a part of Midwest psy culture. Through this community I have found inspiration to discover my artistic abilities, the opportunity to learn and grow with beautiful people, and the safety to open myself to a whole new dimension.

I strongly believe that each of us creates our own reality through the actions and decisions we make. So each of us has to chance to create and build happiness in our lives, if we choose to actively pursue this. The first step is determining what happiness means to you and how you plan to create it. Working towards your goals will then help you to build a positive reality for yourself.

What truly amazes me is that I see this pattern taking on a whole new meaning within the community. While individuals have their personal goals, most people I encounter and work with at these events seem to share the root goal of increasing positivity within their lives. The effect being a gathering in which, at least for me, reality seems engorged with possibility and strength.

My own personal reality has been fed by this positivity and I carry this with me always. The bond Derek and I share has grown through our being a part of this community. I find so much happiness here I yearn to find ways to give back and share what I have gained and learned from these beautiful experiences.

Our community gives me new perspective and insight. It gives me something to look forward to and to work towards . . . the chance to submerse myself completely into our psychedelic universe and bathe in the positivity of others.

Thank you everyone ~ what would my life be without you??

I met Ben and his wife Jen at Sacred Earth this past year.  Good peeps fo' sure.  Ben vj's, comes over from the Japanese psy scene and with Luke it should be a quality production.  Support them, great way to open the summer fest season.

Are you talking about Ben, Jen and little Anna Banana? If so, awesome people fore sure  😀

Looking forward to hearing more about this event. I originate from Ohio and have lots of friends out there that love psy but can't make the long treck out to NCN. They'll be ecstatic to find out about a psy campout in there own backyard  ;D

D&C, if this all ends up working out and I throw in on gas, could I ride with you?

If the dogs come . . . might be a tight squeeze. If the pups won't be attending I'm not sure we could fund the trip, let you know when I know  🙂

Jeff I think this is a really good idea! I am definitely interested . . . is there any chance our dogs could come along (it will save oodles of $$ if we don't have to board them for the weekend)?

We went to a campground in Indiana to meet up with my brothers. The reason we chose this location was because it was between Cleveland and Chicago (Cleveland's where my brothers are).

The camping was definitely not very secluded, I wouldn't recommend the site if you're looking for a beautiful spot. I've heard great things about Starved Rock, I suggest you go for it.
