Blaize224MemberIs there anyone in particular that is organizing the fire procession during the burn?
I think I remember someone mentioning Liz coordinating . . . she coordinated the ceremony last time. If no one steps up I'd be able to head up the operation 😉
Blaize224MemberI am a bit disappointed that no one else is stepping up. Is this a value to the community? Is it done and over with? Worth doing? to be honest I am swamped with art stuff and not much time to devote to making specific contributions myself to fill out time. If there is no interest in coming together to do this other than dj / production workshops just let me know and I can put my energies to other use!
I highly value workshops Jeff, I think the coordination and execution of these workshops is very very important to bringing our community together and to provide a space for people to share there knowledge and help others grow.
Maybe we need to find a better way to encourage people and get them excited about workshops. I know people are always very appreciative of the workshops we have at our events. I think the problem is that while people enjoy attending workshops, they don't necessarily make the connection that they can give back and lead workshops as well. Everybody has something unique to share and I will make it a point to try to get more people involved in this aspect of our events.
Has anyone volunteered any movement workshops? Poi? Stretching? If not, I'd be happy to contribute what I can in these areas 😀
Blaize224MemberTalked to my friend. Marked the calendar for 2011 🙂
Join the club, that's the next year we're planning on making it ;D
Blaize224MemberBlacklights we're bringing:
2 cannons
3 4ft double bars (donated from Pauldo)We can bring CDJ's for the 2nd stage if needed
We're bringing our shade structure, can be used for stage if needed, it's 5 sided though so it might be a little awkward
I'll bring our small tarp (think it's 10×10) for covering speakers
And deco stuff
Blaize224MemberVery interesting . . . would be amazing if they did in fact succeed. Opens a whole new door in biological science.
Blaize224MemberI just recently figured out a way to make and type of attachment by using a torch to soften the PVC and bend it to whatever angle needed.
ahhh . . . great thinking. I'm inspired to start working on some 3D string art now :0) thanks for sharing!
Blaize224MemberLooks fabulous!!
How do you make you frames? What materials do you use?

Blaize224MemberAw darn… I wish this could be moved up a week or so. Burning Man Decomp is only a week before.
I see no problem here 🙂
Yup . . . I plan on being at both ;D
Blaize224MemberI just bought one of these:
I can only afford to get 1 at the moment, but that's a ridiculously good price from what I've seen if anyone else wants to pick up another one.
WTG Kevin! Good find 🙂
Blaize224MemberWhat are your upcomming scheduled dates for the next few months?
Blaize224MemberMy 2 cents . . .
The past few events that we've done I think that we've done an excellent job with deco, for the amount of people involved. I've always found it VERY difficult to tackle two separate spaces in a time span of about 6-8 hours. I know that Derek and I will be setting up, and Scott and Igor usually set up spandex and lighting, is there anyone else planning on contributing?? I think it would be great if we could lock down a few more dedicated people to help create the visual atmosphere. Right now I count on the 4 of us, any other takers??
Also, space has become an issue for Derek and I at times. There is only so much room in our car, including car-topper, and at times we've left supplies and deco at home because it just didn't fit. Would anyone else be willing to drive up some deco?
More hands makes lighter work and it's always great to have more creative minds working together. Maybe we could have 2 teams and each would focus on one of the spaces. This way each space would have its own 'feel'.
Blaize224Memberdone…
sweet ;D
Blaize224MemberJust wanted to chime in. If any spots need filling on the chill line up I'd love to play some downtempo or prog 🙂 If not at ED, maybe Crystal Sky?
Blaize224MemberThere has been zero work accomplished by me today because all I can think about is the expsytment to come!! Leaving my house at 4:20am tomorrow to start the journey 😀

Blaize224Member😛 Music, duh
What kind of music do you spin Carli? 😉
Still exploring my options to discover where my heart truly lies. Derek and I are going to be playing chill for this one tho.
