you know, we need to have a place where we can trade patches, cause I have a fuckload of patches for reason,. Honestly tho, lately I've been trying to cut down on the modulation, I have the curse of over complicating things too much, simplicity is bliss when it comes to electronic music, and most things in life. But one thing I love to do to produce really organic atmospheres is to use a mclass EQ, use the two param eq's make one with a high gain and a real sharp Q, and one with a -gain with a real sharp Q, then use two lfo's to modulate the frequencies really fast, when the two gains cross they produce a popping sound, add some delays and what not and you can produce some really cool effects.

you know if you'd like to link me some music/sets I'd love to write up a descrip for ya.

also I'm wondering have any of you actually been to one of NCH's swinger parties? I've always noticed the polls and gangbang chairs in the corner, lol I always wondered what those were for,. now looking at NCH's website I'm glad to note that its not part of chilluminati's, … haha. FREE SEX PARTIES, jesus I mean how could anyone resist.

I mean route the cvs from the mods on maelstrom, into thor's cv ins and out threw thors cv outs, then you can control precisely how much of the cv modulation is applied as well as automate such things. so for instance you want to make some wobble wobble dubstep bass, but you only want the wobble of the LFO to be applied on the last bar in the 4/4, so you can rig up some automation to do that, or make another lfo to modulate. does that help?

yeah I like doing something similar but with thor, use it as a computer, link cv ins 1,2 with outs, then you can control how much of the cv is applied using the programmer, and its midi capable. malstrom mods are fun too ya, especially cause they retrig when you hit a midi key.

if im forced to use vsts then for bass the one I like most, is u-He's ACE, really dope synth. I personally adore reason, so I really dont mess with plugins much, sometimes I use them for mastering and what not,. Izotope has a nice mastering suit.

defintely, sometimes I like to start a track, using a couple sine waves in unison, cross modulate the cutoffs, just makes for a really subtle effect that really works well with most atmospheres.

yeah i'm slowly putting it all together – definitely need to go back through and do some more tweaking.

i might also go through and put in an extra pure sine wave sub line to beef up the bass – gonna be a bit of a pain in the ass to keep it in line with the current bassline at this point though 😛

its amazing what a lil sinewave, can do for a track. I think that would accent your bass quite well actually.
