    its pretty awesome dude! I've been finding that there is a unique part of the edm scene that is doing this cinematic ambience/idm type thing… I'm actually getting really into the idea myself.

    I'd be interested in the setup/process of this mix.

    oh sorry Machi.. I don't have the S4 I just tested one at at guitar center… I use my maschine or my friends x1 or my nanokontrol when I “dj” with traktor. From what I gather they are super sturdy controllers….

    have you hooked traktor up to your cdj's using the timecode stuff? I thought it would be fairly self explanatory but never had decks.. finally a random kid brought some cdj 400's over and I couldn't figure it out.. I finally got ONE to work in midi mode but I thought the timecode stuff was totally different?

    sweet dude! yeah… I'm looking forward to the upgrade as well. Although I've been really enjoying dj'n with ableton again. Its weird how the two pieces of software work so well with my different moods.

    cool  ;D  I'd like to see that.  it might seem insane, or not even be possible for whatever reason, but you could try reformatting down to the very basics and installing traktor FIRST (well.. after what is “required”)

    I messed with one for 5 minutes at guitar center and knew it was not worth 600+ for ME. I highly recommend trying it first.

    also its worth noting.. as if you don't know already.. traktor scratch works with djm's.. so using scratch with your normal setup (pioneer) plus an X1 seems like a good starter setup.. especially considering the complaints about the “in the box” sound…

    it also cost 10x as much and is freakin huge.

    controllers are SO individual to how you work.. I have a nanokontrol, it would be my favorite if it had a much better build quality and midi feedback (change something in the software, the led's react).

    I really enjoyed seeing you spin Machi! keep doing the cd thing man! switching to a laptop should be based the desire to have more options.

    his camera work is absolutely nuts.. my girlfriend literally can't watch them because the shaking makes her nauseous.

    the simple standard of.. being “that” high.. and then desiring similar feelings from everyday life.

    i think one of our biggest issues is the level of “laziness” or “thats hard, i don't wanna”.

    so something as intense as ecstasy really has few benefits for someone like me. but then again i'm struggling with saying goodbye to alcohol and the sticky at the moment… its possible that its easier for me to just think “drugs are bad”.

    for me the issue is not cognitive impairment.. its emotional impairment. very serious stuff.

    not a single person I've ever met is truly “responsible”.
