damon, i believe for the central U.S. parties there should be a separate rainproof shelter for the dj, electronics and sound system. This may be ugly but needs to be rainproof.

Then a cooler, more colorful doma style shelter for the dancers. That should have some sun shade but we need not be too concerned about keeping dancers dry.
