[Aligning Minds]

Aligning Minds here, just wanted to express our gratitude to everyone that was involved in this event. It was nothing short of an exhilarating, life affirming experience. Everything was beyond perfect- the people, the sense of community, the deco, the workshops/activities, and above all, the BEATS. I had such a great time, that I too literally couldn't bring myself to sleep, I was awake to the point of delirium, and it felt AMAZING.

The sound system at the Chill stage was unbelievable, dropping tunes on that system for everyone listening was an honor. I spent most of my time on the chillout tip, but what I saw at both stages was consistent quality and passionate involvement. Everyone was so dedicated to delivering a quality experience, but still so laid back and just in the mood to have a great time. I left with the deepest sense of meaning, purpose, clarity, understanding and comradery, and when I went back to 'reality', it all made so much more sense!!! That's the feeling that I think we should all leave these events with, that's what sets them apart from the norm. Massive respect and love to everyone that was involved, I can't wait to see you all again. See you at Gaian Mind!!!

Glad it broke instead of at Burning Man.  Went to Costco the other day and looked at those carports.  $200, all steel, heavy as fuck.  No way I am going to attempt to put it together alone at BM unless I'm with other peeps.  Currently going with a tarp and bungee cords contraption thing for my shade.

What can I say? SEOA was an amazing experience for me as well. Helping to create the chill space (both deco and music) and seeing how many people enjoyed the result was an extremely rewarding experience for me; one of the best in my life, in fact. I've wanted to play as the sun was coming up for about as long as I've been DJing. I sincerely appreciate all the kind words from everyone throughout the weekend! It means a lot to me, THANKS for your support!!

Due to obligations with setting up, working, workshops, and sets I had to play I think I only ended up seeing Max, Airyck, and the tail end of the old skool goa morning sets on the trance stage. AWESOME job. (juno reactor FTW!) That U-Recken track made my morning! I had to sleep and eat, too  ;D (yea, I am a wuss) I'll definitely be hitting up the recorded material though as it sounds like a lot of amazing music was played. Almost everything I heard at the chill stage was top notch… HUGE props to… Aligning Minds on both your sets (GREAT talking with you all weekend!), Ascension, T.Rux, Kaiser/Derby, Great Mundane, and Robyo. I REALLY enjoyed Halon's chill stage set too… fantastic Depeche Mode-ness the whole time… I want that track list!

Sorry I couldn't take it all in! I think that if there had been three Dereks present last weekend I still wouldn't have been able to see it all!

Much thanks to everyone who came and helped out. Kevin, you were a working machine the entire time… I'm glad you stopped to get some rest on the way home and made it back safely. Tyler, Scott, Jeffz your organization skills certainly shone this weekend. WTG! Allison, you rock for everything you did from deco to working the door to… well everything! Abe, and others from MOP for bringing the tapestries and blacklights for the trance stage. Everyone from the Smoker's Den for providing me with non-stop nicotine flava and company. GeaL, awesome talking with you both Sat night and Sun morning… hit me up when you've completed your move to Chicago. We're gonna turn this city out!!! Mubali, I loved what you had to say about our stage. Good talking with you throughout the weekend and balancing out your insanity from across the campsite Saturday night! Finally… Justin, I have a pretty good idea of all the work you put into this and it was SINCERELY appreciated. I'm sooooo happy you had the experience that you did and glad you finally “get what Tyler has been talking about” this whole time…

i just have to jump back in this thread and thank everyone for their kind words.  Reading reviews like these really keeps me motivated, and pushes my desire to do everything i can to help create events like these.

I am finally getting my first bit of free time to sit down and write a response since the event.  I would first like to thank Scott and the rest of Chilluminati for the opportunity to come out and run the main stage for you.  I tried to meet as many people as possible that make these events possible, but don't know if I got to all of you.  We had some delays on getting a few things set up at the beginning like the screens, but all seemed to work out really well.  Hopefully I lived up to Tyler's words.

After all was set up, I was able to have a blast.  I really enjoyed walking between the stages while checking on equipment and having the completely different atmospheres.  Everyone did an amazing job with their sets.

There were 2 sets that really stuck out for me though.  One being Mubali's.  As I got to tell him, Tyler and I played one of his cds so often in my cars that the foil came off of it.  Seeing him perform live pa and getting to meet him in person was a real treat.  I can't get over that he played on my system. ;D

The second set was Energon's at dawn.  There was something about the music he chose as the sun came up that was amazing.  I got a chance to tell him at the time on stage.  Every time I left the chill stage and checked on the main stage I found myself heading back down to Derek's set.  I found myself taking that back path each time and the music from the chill stage in the woods, and fire / glowstick spinning at campsites made for an amazing experience.  The last view of the laser, fog, mist, and darkness from the far end of the field was amazing.  As the sun actually came up I found myself up at the main gate first encounter to pick up my chair I loaned to them.  The sounds of Derk's set could be heard echoing out of the woods.  It gave a very eerie experience and had I not been with the event and still been able to hear the mainstage I probably would have freaked out and thought there were monsters in the mist.

To sum it up this event blew my mind.  Two years ago Tyler, Agent Hurt and Ben would never have expected for me to actually appreciate an event like this.  Thanks to everyone that made this all possible.
