I am interested in obtaining land to be used for farming, camping, retreats, and musical events. Are there others with similar interests? Or maybe this isn't the best place to discuss this stuff?

Derek and I have been scheming on an idea like this too. The idea for us was to locate a piece of land that we could live on, care for and use as a venue space. It's a fabulous dream, but I've yet to figure out how to make the dream a reality and sustainable.

If SWIM was to get rich off of this product, then mass purchases of land, sound gear, and plane tickets would be inevitable.

I feel that I am living on a very unique property right now.  Maybe in a few years I could possibly buy it.  It has the barn and everything you guys are talking about.  The barn is two levels right now and very dirty but with some manpower and a vision it could be turned into a nice space for indoor events.  Heat would be the main issue, but there is power alreadly running to it.  Heat could be accomplished.  I would be up for some construction projects in the future if I ever end up owning this property.  I would like to learn how to farm for income, but Mansanto owns everything out here.  As long as there is food and other sources of income the land would not have to be used for agriculture.  We could definitely turn it into small retreat facility or perhaps commune type land.  Lets explore this further.  This has always been my dream as well.  I think with the right people involved we could definitely accomplish this.
