Machi…if your sincere about not understanding e-love I'll be happy to explain it.  elove similiar to beer goggles in the sense that an intoxicated person over-estimates the attractiveness of a partner.  beer goggles you usually realize your mistake the next morning.  elove can last weeks, months or years if the couple continues to artificially enhance their ability to accurately judge their attraction, love and compatibility with their mate due to their initial and continued use of e/x/MDMA.  If their judgment of love/compatibility while under the influence of or during the lingering after-effects of E is different or way off from how they would feel about each other if they never had taken/met/or continued use of E then that's where the cognitive mistake in their thinking occurs.  The difference between thoughts and feelings while intoxicated vs thoughts feelings while sober.  Once use of E ends for the couple and it's lingering after-effects wear off they may wake up one morning realizing they really don't like their partner and how did they ever think they were compatible.  beer goggles – e-goggles same concept.

    1. knowing that E effect will last for a several hours you will need to fuel your e-love on daily bases…if you keep taking E on daily bases over years you will have holes in your brain of the size of golf ball – after that i don't think anyone will be capable of having anything feelings whatsoever…

Eh, WRONG!  Of course the intense effects last for hours, but the upkick in dopamine/serotonin can last for a couple days.  It's not fully metabolized and excreted from your body until 48 hours after ingestion. Day 3 when your brain chemistry is no longer being artificially enhanced it's common for people to experience an intense depressed mood.  Haven't you ever heard of Suicide Tuesday?  It can then take 1-3 months for your brain chemistry to balance out to the point of pre-E ingestion.  LSD and psilo after-effects last 6 months.

Also if a person doesn't go back and validate the beliefs and opinions they came to believe as true during an experience can last for years or even a life time or set them down a path of thinking/belief which based upon that initial cognitively wrong idea which they they thought was THE GREATEST IDEA EVER simply because they were high.

I'll go over every single detail, idea, belief that I came up with or that I was introduced to by someone else as well as every interaction I had with others during an experience, again and again for weeks after the experience.  I'll even research the validity of any idea I came up with to see if it's realistic or if I was just being an e-tard at the time.

If you don't do this kind of intense introspective review following your experiences, then I suggest you do so.  You may be missing out on some of the greatest lessons to be learned from experiences.

sorry man, still don't buy your e-love theory

IT'S NOT MY THEORY!!!  Again, I'm telling you it's a well written about issue.  If your not willing to do any of your own research about it then please stop telling me I'm wrong or maybe, just possibly, ya know, like TRUST that I know what I'm talking about and follow my counsel at least once during and after your next experience.  If you find it of any value then great and if not than whatev.

My opinion based upon the use of either lsd/psilo in the treatment of cluster headaches.  2x annual dose, 6 months apart with psylics have been very successful at keeping cluster headaches from returning.  Effectiveness of psylics wear off at 6 months, failure to redose at 6mo point brings about return of clus-head.  Unknown exactly the mechanism of psylics in the brains chemistry/function that ward off return of clus-head but whatever changes use of psylics causes cease at 6 mo.  Any and all changes in brain chemistry or function directly changes thought, mood or function in life.  Cannot separate the 2…make a physical change and there will be a change in one's experience of life in some manner whether the change is neg/pos/minimal/barely noticeable.  Plausible correlation that the same changes also last for 6 mo in non-suffers of clus-head therefore possibly effecting non-suffers experience of life in some manner.

exactly… I have heard of it, also called Blue Tuesday by some…wouldn't you think E romance would be over at that point?….an E-couple would look at each other from a little bit different angle….unless they pop another one right away?

I could see how people sharing a peak experience (be it externally induced or not) would form a bond that persists beyond the experience itself. I'd guess that the disillusionment of e-love comes from realizing that your bond was chemically induced, and not more “real.”

Can you explain to me how galactic alignments effect human thinking and society here on Earth?  How does that physically work…specially energy waves are directed our way by our benevolent universe, the waves thus effecting individual thinking creating a domino effect out to human society en masse?  ZERO, and I'm very firm on this, there is ZERO proof about galactic alignment or anything about Mayan 2012 at all.

Sorry E, I'm just not sold on 2012 and we'll just have to disagree.  I'm pumped and excited about the future and the cool shit we'll get to experience just like you are.  Just don't see how you get their with 2012 beliefs.

Here is my take on how it works:

We have all these cycles that affect our daily lives:

    > The Earth's rotation creates day and night which affect the temperatures on the planet and have a huge impact on all living things.  Essentially, one daily cycle can be divided into two parts, day and night.

    > The Earth's revolution around the sun produces the seasons on our planet.  Essentially, one annual cycle can be divided up into two parts, summer and winter

So we have those two cycles which are very impactful to us here on Earth and have measurable, quantifiable effects on our planet.  This is a known fact.  We know that our planet rotates on a daily basis.  We also know that our planet revolves around the sun.

Ok…so far so good right?  Follow me.  Our solar system is part of the milky way galaxy.  Everything in the milky way galaxy is revolving around its core, right?  That means that there is a 3rd “center”  that potentially could be creating yet another cycle that is affecting our planet.  As these cycles increase in size, their effects become less and less immediate and therefore not as easy to detect.  The effects of our daily cycle are easy to notice because they happen fast.  It's not very easy to detect the changes of our solar revolution cycle because that takes 365 days to complete.  The changes are slower.  It is a known fact that the Mayans were excellent astronomers and that the cycles they mapped have been some of the most accurate accounts ever created.  They concluded that the galactic cycle, or “Baktun” as they called it, was approximately 26,000 years.  That means that it would take hundreds of years for someone to accurately measure any effects that may be occurring as a result of that cycle.

We have not been able to scientifically measure and link changes on our planet with this grand galactic cycle yet because I don't really think anybody has really setup a real study that would last long enough to measure anything properly.  I do however think that the theory I presented here is quite plausible, is it not?

Well there's not a lot of evidence that more near-by astronomical events effect anything here on Earth ecspecially the indivdual mind and thus society.  It's a falsehood that more crimes and hospitilizations occur on the night of a full moon.  The statistics don't support it.  Unique planetary alignments, solar and lunar eclipses haven't been proven to have any planetary effect.  Other than direct contact comets and asteroids don't have an effect on Earth affairs.

If the concept of alignment can't be proven in our local solar system then I would give the concept even less credence when expanded to the galactic scale.  I've even seen it argued that the 2012 date and this supposed alignment are even true, the alignment already occured in 1989, they aren't that accurate to get the exact center on the exact day.  I haven't heard anything about 2012 that would make me think differently or change my behavior in any way.  How strongly do you believe in 2012 and what in life are you doing differently in response to your belief?  Is there not a cognitive cost in believing in things that are not correct whether one realizes it or not?

It's ok to play with and entertain or fully imagine all possibilities, it's very creative to do so and can lead to actual discovery. I hold things to a higher standard when considering things to be proof.  I'm not so willing to move my position without actual proof.

Just want to clarify that I never mentioned anything about an alignment or the full moon having any affect on the earth.  I was more specifically talking about objects in the sky that we orbit around.  Our Earth orbits the sun and there are plenty of facts that that has a profound effect on us.  Can't deny that.  So if our sun also orbits the galactic center, then it's very much possible that it also has an effect on us.

Trust me, I don't freely buy into the psuedoscience as much as you might think.

Not sure if anyone will care but I'm going to toot my own horn on this.  What I wrote on this topic which is the first post of this thread made it's way to a well known psychedelic author and professor of psych at a major university where he trains future therapists.  He said I was absolutely right about cognitive missteps within the psychedelic experience not being taken into consideration by the psychedelic community and within a therapeutic setting.  He said he's incorporated some of my ideas into his training for therapists.

toot!  toot!  I knew I was on to something.
