“A BABEL THREAD!?”, you thinks. “What is that?”
Well it would just be one long continuous thread that just keeps going and going and is really about nothing in particular. Any one could post up about anything they wanted to and relate it to whatever they want or nothing at all. You could reply to a post or change direction of the thread at any moment. You could even post in a different language and would be encouraged to do so! One might even be so inclined to as to write, translate and teach their language. Even if you suffer Tourette's Syndrome and needed to get out a quick “shit! fuck! bite my mother's balls!” then that would be perfectly ok.
I sure know that I can babel non-sense at people now and again so I really hate to have to babel at all of you in the regular posts when it might not be the best place to do so. If we all just had a little section to play with language and thoughts then that would be great! You are all multi faceted people and I would love to hear what you all babel on about. It would be utter chaos and that would be wonderful.

2. A scene of noise and confusion.
3. A language based on higher-order functions and first-order logic.
4. (Genesis 11:1-11) a tower built by Noah's descendants (probably in Babylon) who intended it to reach up to heaven; God foiled them by confusing their language so they could no longer understand one another. (That's really nice of you to do that to us God! Bastard!)so I've been reading this book called Fantastic Voyage by Ray Kurzweil and Terry Grossman. Kurzweil is a futurists, predicts coming technologies, etc. Well their premise is that due to the coming bio-tech and nano-tech revolutions that within 100 years the expected life span of a human being will be 5,000 years. And that most people alive today will be able to live long enough to reach that 5,000 year span. We'll all have little nanobots running around inside of us doing all kinds of things better than our own bodies can do it. They'll all be wireless capable and can group together to perform a task. You'll be able to store info on your nano's and then just recall it up like memory. It sure would be nice to have some nanobots keeping track of things for me! If you need a new program for your nano's…then just download it from the Internet (very matrix like). I can't wait! Imagine how many psytrance parties well be able to go to in 5000 years!? I hope to throw the first psytance party on Mars colony!

i would love to try acid in space with no gravity. i have always wanted to go up on a nasa mision to experimint on the effect of psycho active drugs in space……..

underfoot
Last night I dreamed my wife Wendy and I were dining at a restaurant where a friend was doing a wall climbing demonstration in a skin-tight orange bodysuit. His performance was rudely interrupted by a gang of terrorists, who burst through the plate glass window, machine guns blazing. We spent a brief and fitful eternity cowering beneath the tablecloth, playing dead, before being corralled onto an uncovered wagon caravan. Somehow our wagon became silently unhitched from the rest of the hostages and we fled into the surrounding countryside, desperately seeking civilization.
After a long trudge through tall reeds and a decaying lumberyard, we arrived at a dense, suburban sprawl. There we entered a random home, where we were pleased to find all our relocated belongings. Immediately we knew where everything was and resumed normal life as if nothing had happened.

I'm actually hoping that nanotechnology can get so precise at manipulating our cells and chemistry that I'll be able to “nano-trip”. The nanobots can arrange the molecules and chemistry of my brain in the exact same manner that taking a synthetic would. When I'm done tripping and want to go to sleep I can just tell the nanobots to go take care of some other bodily function like eliminating waste and putting my brain molecules back to the way they were. Then I'll be able to turn the trip on and off whenever I want like when I'm waiting at a red light or listening to my boss bitch me out or maybe even when I'm dancing to psytrance music.
