First pick would be option A
It it this most clearcut visually, nothing is lost in translation

Our Second pick would be E
The only thing is… It's not clear who the Djs are.
They get lost in the flow of live pa/visual pas

If E is choosen can we find a way to denote the Visual Artists & Djs clearly & agree to put a blurb on the flipside describing the efforts of the visual artists…

If not, then we can shave a sentence or 2 away from the visual artists bios thus creating more room for additional info.

Any way you slice & dice it…
KiloWatts should be placed under Androcell or above Kourosh Dini and the local live acts pushed down.

Please add KiloWatts to the Chill Stage Headliners list under Androcell.
KiloWatts – Artificial Music Machine / Diffusion Records (Philadelphia)

Julee & Troy will put half of the money up for his ticket & he'll pay the other half.
If the event makes a profit past what debt is owed would anyone oppose having The Chilluminati reimburse The cost of his plane ticket (approx$145)

On the note of Visual Artists/Audio Artists…

Most of the Visual Artists involved will be pre-producing Sacred Earth specific video content for the event.
They'll be bringing & hanging their own projectors & screens.
They'll be performing visuals Live 2 nights each – one night chill & one night psy (approx 20 total hours)

We were really excited about having the VJ descriptions on the flyer, this was not argued with when it was first stated, so we went with it, and now that there is a dispute, we are trying not to feel stepped on. We really do have good intentions, and…
    Here are our motives

We feel that by giving Visual Artists additional attention on the flyer it in returns gives Chilluminati this:
*We push the bar higher by appreciating visual artists (that is something NOT seen in this field-therfore The Chilluminati will recieve positive attention)
*We possiably lower the negative attention by those who seek “rave” type events (youngins/50)–art driven event vs rave driven event
*We help to bring the unbalanced audio/video/deco to a more balanced state- thus putting arts as the main achievement of this event

Obviously we carry a very strong feeling in this matter
The Metratronic 2 flyer had similar font size (maybe smaller) so we do not understand why this is a issue now , for it was not a issue then, before or after the flyers were printed.
We do think that there is a comprimise, trouble is finding one

    Outside opinion from UK friend.

He likes it, loves the font choice.
Asked him if the text on the right bothers him & he said that he thinks that super symmetrical things just leaves text/elements to be ignored.

He likes it, he likes the layout.

We can take the bios out on web version.
It's very readable for print version.

We've stepped back & pondered other ways to format / work around.
The only suggestions we have is to add more text to LIVE/DJs.

We STRONGLY feel that the bios must stay.

Chicago is a Media Market & most of the local VJs are well connected on a creative professional level.
In our opinion the fact that they are involved with a creative festival is going to be viral in the diverse circles they oscillate in.
We think it'll attract people that usually don't attend these type of festivals.
Take away the bios & you'll only have “eye candy & rave visuals” & believe you us, there are quite a few visual artists that look down upon rave visuals.
That's why we've steered to involve these creatives. We think the bios convey it as well.

Most VJs wanted logos on the flyer & we told them that we could write up & print their bios instead.
We have been in constant contact via Phone, IM & Email.
We've literally ate many supposed to be working & wireless mins/hours.
All in the game of describing these Visual Artists in the best.
The CD will have only audio artists of which you are creating the Radio Promo for.
This evens out things in our opinion.

& to us it reads Audio / Visual as is
    That's the point.

Taking the bios away will greatly effect things.

We took a break, got a surprise call from a friend from UK stopping by, had 30 mins to clean house.

Now back to the forum & Going with our hearts & guts on this one.
    Standing In Cement (J&T)

Can we get everyone elses opinion?

On a marketing level… the bios are essential.

This will be the largest Visual Lineup at an electronic music event in the Midwest that we've seen yet.

It will surely attract more people with the Bios, than without.

We feel that the bios are essential.

It describes & paints a picture of what the visual artists will be providing.

Audio artists have gotten the spotlight in most of our past events.

This one we're bumping the visual spectacle up a notch.
