I admit I was a little bit selfish by playing what I liked but Scott knew much earlier in the night that I was playing Goa..I told him myself..

so It was very surprising to me that it became so big of an issue in a Chilluminati Psytrance/Goa gathering..

lol..if only I had a dollar for all the times a DJ played something not fitting a time slot..I would be very rich by now..

what you are pointing out is very common and is not a reason for the Unacceptable behavior..I think all of us know that in our hearts..

Trying to spin the issue serves only to weaken the community as people are not as ignorant to what goes on as one might think.

Yes..I have an ego too..wont disagree with that at all..in this case it was more of self respect kicking in …of not being treated like a

criminal..for doing something that is very common..Hope you see my point of view..All this conversation is an effort to see what the other

perspective is..but till now people have not come forward with honesty imho..

If the DJs at AUM were treated in the same way as I was for not playing according to the time slot..There might not have been many DJs playing there at all..

AUM was the epitome of DJs breaking the “flow” of music that's being held in such high regard here..which is even more disappointing to me..

because it shows that people who are complaining about me playing morning goa/fullon on the second/chill stage (which wasnt chill at all) know all this very well and should have had a much more mature and balanced perspective for being the professionals they claim to be..

Speaking from experience, breaking rules is very common in this community..which makes me wonder even more why this reaction was so

I have to admit that sometimes it happens to me that I decide to play harder stuff on chill stage …. so far no one complained hehe …

On the other hand I tried to get a slot on main stage@SEOA to play goa. I was offered spot on chill stage instead which I turned down cause I didn't think it was the best idea ….

Actually, if you re booked to play the chill stage, it's a given that you don't play pounding goa. Theres a reason I turn it down every time it's offered. I don't play chill. I'll play anything else though…

what is chillout music you ask: something you can listen to and relax, when a dj's is playing excellent chill out set I fall asleep. I think the whole purpose of having chill out stage is to create the opposite effect to what is happening on the main stage but if you choose to bob and weave to it you still can… 5 cents from me this time.

I find it amusing that you say this, Machi. I've had the thought that I can gauge the success of my chill sets by the number of people I can get to fall asleep or stay sleep in the chill area, hehe. I guess number of ppl lounging around on blankets / grass / etc works too  😀
