    I started at the 1998 one after I moved back to Iowa I believe, my first one was the one near the Winnebago place.  With to the Little Furthurs too. We did a sound stage at the last Furthur. We were the MILF stage right next to the Massive one.  The one at Black RIver Falls was awesome though! I remember there were tornados popping down around. I was talking to TJ Richter while that was happening a bit off my rocker (in a good way) and watching tents literally fly through the air.  Then dancing knee deep in water to Mark E.G. while he is breaking records over his head while the storm of all storms raged around was priceless.

    Little Furthur was my favorite though. We watched some tweeker not move from a couch for 24 hours and turn into a lobster, that was funny. I got a message from Kurt about something this year, not trying to put much hope into it though 😀

    Yeah, I'm one of those old skool ravers that started in the scene in the midwest, specially Chicago around late 1991 & turned out to be a good thing, till authorites in 1997-98 started clamping down on promoters in Chicago, Milwaukee & Southern WI. So you can say, I've been thru it all. Finally, after a long time, I have discovered a really good production that puts out psytrance parties around the Chicago area & that is Chilluminati. & Here I am. ;D

    Oh, I actually started going to raves in 1990 🙂  Just was in the bay area and Columbus, OH.

    BTW … when was the first official psy/goa party that happened in the midwest? not counting the touch samadhi gigs.

    I know they did some up in Minnesota, but I only really know MAGE in 2003, most the reason that I threw it was because there was nothing around so wanted something to gather like minds into trance. Kind of a spur of the moment type of thing that grew out of people on the midwest trance email group I moderate that wanted a psy event, so really was a community effort with lots of help from Kaiser Soze, SOT, Storm, my group of wonderful individuals, lots of gentle prodding from Iowans, etc.

    I played an all psy party in St. Louis a little while before MAGE, but it got busted around midnight.. Does that count?

    Also Interstellar Dreamfest had an all psy stage. John Phantasm and others…

    Oh yeah, that STL party! they also did some down in KC I heard by Chromatone.

    Was the Interstellar Dreamfest in Kentucky? I went to the first one and learned ecstatic dance but that was in Illinois. I think that was called just Dreamfest though.

    At least a psy and chillout stage. I think Kaiser had a third stage in mind as well. There won't be the same IDM emph as GeoLogic had, part of our efforts to run this event with a realistic budget.
