Hopefully by the end of summer, I am going to do a party in the woods somewhere outside of duluth. I grew up in the area and already have a few places in mind. I do live P.A. with a bunch of hardware, by the end of the month I should have both better speakers and some big  generators. The plan is to set up an indoor event in duluth (I have a few locations), then if that goes off swimmingly, haul everything out into the middle of nowhere inside some cave or something, and really have some fun!  I am looking for people who want to be a part of the action, whether you can offer a few hours of music (you will need you own equipment), or you want to help set up a killer stage. If you don't already know Josh Stanke, you should hit him up on here (goes by Optic Mind). He's from Duluth and I know he's got some equipment and has also done an indoor event there. There are a bunch of psytrancers in minneapolis too, hopefully they give ya a reply here.

Also, Earthdance is Sept. 17-19th, so I would consider that everyone in the area will be going to that if you do something in sept 🙂

I live an hour east of duluth/superior. with some notice I might be of some help. most notably i would need some notice for work so i'm not on call and a dog sitter as well. i could help with deco and stuff like that. i haven't been mixing due to lack of time so kinda rusty on that.

cool, ill post dates when I have a better idea, where east of superior do you live? I lived in ashland and delta for a number of years.

i grew up here. it's alright. it's good if you like outdoorsy stuff to do like the typical hunting fishing, atv, snowmobile stuff. any sort of night life is asking for trouble. most of the people that live here though are super close minded and i can't be bothered with them. if there isn't a bar on every other corner there's a church, not good odds for me.

honestly if it wasn't for the psy gatherings i go to i would have probably gone crazy a long time ago living in this town.

I spent most my school days there, not my favorite school system. I was a little ass hole to that town when I lived there, very spiteful. That lot on mainstreet in front of burger king used to be a building that me and a few friends broke into, and burnt down (on accident) 😛 I have a better head on my shoulders these days. Let me know if you ever make it to minneapolis and want to chill, im sure you would dig all my equipment!

There will be a bunch of us from minneapolis at earthdance.  Just ask around who's from where and whatnot.  I'll keep an eye out for you from your pics on myspace and say hello.  But yeah that'd be awesome to get more stuff goa'n around here.  All night parties recently haven't gone too well in duluth lots of troubles with the police shutting parties down and such.

I think we missed the weather for outdoor duluth parties this year. I may still look into indoor parties this winter, either in duluth or minneapolis. I know of a few venues that would be possible. I need to play with some loud speakers before next summer for sure.
