… and would help attract more attention to the midwest.
I think the midwest is doing just fine, and I have been to other parts of the US and know about many of the issues they have. What is happening in the Midwest is beautiful.

More like not enough. Many elitist holier than thou types. Give me people that love the music and not out to impress any day over that. All the best psy parties I have been to have had a healthy complement of ravers. Midwesterners really appreciate what they have, especially ones in the less populated parts who will drive hours to get to hear their music. But why does it have to be a seperate thing? Why can't everyone be accepted no matter who the fuck they are classified as. Why classify everyone based on what they look like and point them as the problem. It is individuals not some stereotype that cause issues. Unity should be a goal and acceptance of all no matter their difference as long as they bring something positive to contribute or seeking ways to improve.
I am sure you are such kidding in your normal way, but you have this passive aggressive thing in the way you write and here it is.

My first “raver experience”@Harvey Expo Center back in 2001:
Commander Tom was spinning that night …our first party on american land …. I hears the same question from the first 5 people I talked to: “Are You rolling?”. And I did not know what that means ;D ;D ;D so I was ….. ??? ??? ::) ::) ;D ;D
Good times 🙂

I have had that happening @ Raven's lately, where I was asked..”Hey man, you rollin'?” & I was like “whaaaaaaaaat” LOL!
I used to do parties there @ the Harvey & @ Photon in Harvey, Illinois, between '94-'97, when I lived in Chicago. ;D
Sorry to open this can of worms Jeff Z and others but what makes somebody a “raver”?
to me it's like defining hippie, pagan, christian, liberal, terrorist, etc. etc. any definition you come up with will offend about 50% of the people you are trying to describe. They end up declaring a fatwa against you, and one day you wake up in a prison cell in South Yemen with Damon as your cellmate.
I really try to avoid using labels of any kind.

Dirty hippies, tree huggers and ******* ravers are my favourite ones ;D ;D ;D And I learned all that stuff here ;D ;D ;D ;D
;D
btw. Rolling is taking E. Bad Bad Bad 🙁
My definition of the 'ravers' that are being talked about here are the kind that do way too much E (high % of speed) which leads them to act like bumbling horny idiots. and then they get hold of glowsticks and all hell breaks loose! The word rave/raver became totally negative from the moment I got to the states. guess its a cliche' here.
You dont see too many at psy events though … but Drum n' Bass attracts them like flies! Donno why.
I find it very hard to connect with these kids (most of them are underage) .. I think its that dull glazed look in their eyes.
If youve watched the movie 'Groove' you might know what I'm talking about. The word rave/raver became totally negative from the moment I got to the states. guess its a cliche' here.

Just for the record I hate Young People with their perky attitudes and shit. That is one of Damon's finest points, btw, his lack of youth.
;D

He he….something similar…..went to my first rave/party/chritmas event (in the US) in the fall of 2004 in Columbus……around the time when Dimebag Darrel (Pantera's guitarist) had got shot. 🙁 🙁 🙁
The name was Blitzen……at a ware house……a guy asked me “U rolling Bro?”….i did not know what that meant and i was like “Dimebag got shot at this city!!! how can i think of rocking or rolling? >:( >:( >:(“…. Felt like an idiot after i understood what that meant…… :-[ :-[ :-[
Was a very nice event though with the so called “Candykids” running around the big warehouse…………..missed the Psy a lot at that moment….. 😀
Question:- Who are labelled as CandyKids amongst ravers? ???
NaveeN
