oh my lord, i showed my Academic Advisor the flyer today during an appointment, and after letting him know that it was supported by the University of Iowa as they are providing the venue, he enthusiastically offered to hang some flyers up around the Advising Center where students are always flowing!
Later the same day, I met with a diversity leader / counselor that manages my scholarship, to see if i can get it extended for a year because i failed to get in to any medical schools this semester, and after telling her of Psytrance events and the fuel it provides me to tear through school, she enthusiastically offered the same thing! Turns out she is from India, not from Goa, but will be visiting Goa soon for the first time…
It is so fucking WILD to have the support from these academic leaders who know nothing of the events. They show complete support and enthusiasm when given the facts that matter most about the events! Its awesome to know that they will be promoting the events for us on a regular basis, letting students know that there is a totally cool, totally meaningful experience awaiting them around the corner, if they so choose to skip out on the bars for ONE NIGHT.
The energy is out there boys and girls, and now, so are the flyers.
