Facebook has sucked the life out of forums

    It seems like nobody is around any of the forums anymore and everyone is on facebook.

    I admit, I abandoned the forums for a little while to be on facecrack.  Then it started getting old and I started making my way back to the forums only to see them desolate…

    Bummer

    I thought it was all the fighting?

    Personally I think psytrance culture needs something cooler than Facebook to call home… this is a counterculture, after all. What are we doing handing over total control to the corporate mainstream?

    All forums are dying. I used to be horribly addicted to several messageboards and now it is rare if I check them every other week.

    Strictly from a promoter's standpoint facebook is way too good to use something else right now. I can get word out to the most number people, get information to new people easier and I don't even have to pay to host a site or worry about getting traffic specifically to there :).
