This Event Was Awesome! Fantastic People, Great Sets From A Good Chunk Of The Midwest & Great Vibes!

One Note To Derby & S.O.T. Your Set On Friday Night Into Saturday Morning was nothing sort of phenomenal. 🙂

Thanks to all who attended, and praise to The Chilluminati for all their hard work on this event.

A picture gallery is in the works.  Feel free to submit any you might have to [email protected]

      Kind words from Jirah:
“…thanks for the wonderful time. Elly and I both enjoyed the event very much and honestly it was the first time in awhile that I have really felt good and I guess happy to be at a party.”

Kind words from Reuben Fortier (The Paka Paka Lightshow) :
“Thank you very much for inviting me to participate in your collective of talented individuals.  Everybody involved had a good vibe and I felt that I was among kindred spirits.  I had a great time and a very interesting experience I will long remember.  I certainly look forward to working with you again in the future.”

      Your comments/crits/suggetions are welcome!

(And yes, we're aware the bathroom situation kinda sucked at the end there.  We'll head this up right at the next one.)

While I enjoyed ALL acts on the main stage, I would have to say Dan Efex rocked me the hardest. If anyone can steer me towards the tracks he was using I would be very apreciative. EVERY track he played had a certain type of synth/effect that turns the knobs in my brain to 11. I was also very impressed with SOT/Derby. I think it would be a shame if they didn't tag team, as I think it only adds to the energy when you have two guys working together like that.

I also enjoyed the smallness of the party. I don't think we coluld have gotten away with something like that if it was bigger. It was very nice actually KNOWING exactly who was there. It totally killed the urge I ussually have to wander around and “see whos here”

Oh, and BIG props to the land owner. If you are reading this, THANK YOU. Your place kicks ass and that barn was the best dance floor I have ever seen at an outdoor party.

Jirah did an excellent job at dreamfields. He definitly wasn't just pressing play. It's a real shame he can't reconcile religion with music. It's a real loss to the scene if he decides to give it up.

re : the land owner // Just talked to David Lundahl of New Light Studios…

…On a scale of 0-10, 0 meaning no problems and 10 meaning lawsuit, he said we scored a 2.5.  So we'll most certainly be back someday!  A follow-up cleaning pass is already planned, and he has $200 from us for any repairs that need to be made.

        Namaste People!!

Thanks a lot to all the orgs for wonderful times!! This event was much more personal and intimate than Geologic that made it
more special. The owner was very hospitable in opening up his house for the restrooms and the Swimming Pool!!
Not many people I know would do that in such a gathering.

Divraj was a great addition to the team and should be booked for later gatherings imho. SOT and Derby had a great set that made me
get up and dance..lol..It was fun to see some alternative girl action on the second night too..kinda distracting..but all in good fun 🙂 😉

        Love and Best wishes
        Till the next time
        Anand.

awsome awsome awsome.  the whole thing felt like a video game being able to travel from camp to camp and to the barn and the shop.  Psychadelic video game i could never forget.  i didnt like where i put my tent cuz when i finally went to lay down the blurr from both stages was really hard to pick one sound to relax to.  though out of that i have though of trying to make/produce a track that sounded simmilar though i hav no clue what it would be called. hehe  on hell of a evet and i cant wait to see if i can go to the next one and for the next oppertunity to play again.

Oh and Jirah was incredible i wish my charger for my cam haddent failed so i could have gottne more of his set recorded.

I didn't like it too much. Everytime the energy was built up he would stop the release. Very frustrating to me (I think Igor saw me scream once cause of it :). It was like listening to someone put records on without any flow.  Just did not seem to go anywhere.

Musically was great but I am into the journey/tempo/flow more than technical skills.

Very sad loss to psy and consciousness though with him leaving.

        I really enjoyed Jirah.

But I rocked out to the hours when Derby, SOT and Kaiser were playing. My gawd they are the Holy Trinity when they work together. I know you prolly just think I like them because they're friends. It's so more than that. I know what I like. I go to these events to dance and, as Eklypz says, to journey. I can always dance hard to their sets. I always can count on them. And they have a synergy when they work together that is incredible.

We need to start recognizing that we have POWER here in the Midwest that is hard to match. Don't EVER take our Midwestern hidden treasures for granted!

It's too bad gay marriage is illegal in Illinois because these boys need to tie the knot right here and now.  ;D

Heh, I'll never take the midwest for granted. As anyone who has traveled out of the area can tell you, the music in the midwest is just plain better. It all started with Drop Bass, and now that they have been drummed out of action by “the man”, its up to groups like chilluminati to keep the midwests reputation for REAL underground music alive.

Most definately, Kaiser Soze and SOT and now that I have had a chance to hear Derby have always been among my favorites 🙂  They know this though so I don't want to blow their heads up 😛

yes please don't inflate their egos any more, they're going to start asking for fruit plates in their dressing room and mints on their pillows.  ::)
