    That's not ALL that surprising. I believe the Underground Sound organizers were responsible for brining Simon to that show in like… Arkansas last August the weekend before Burning Man. I did some poking around and supposedly Skazi will be playing as well. Should be interesting… the real question is how do I get booked???  😀

    I've been pondering this statement since I saw it yesterday.
    What do you mean, exactly? That you can get a greater quantity of similar quality music for less cash by booking locals / smaller names? I'd agree with that but I don't think you'll be hosting a profitable event.

    People are drawn to celebrity. People buy Britney Spears' new album and buy magazines with her drugged out face all over the cover. Has anyone ever read a People magazine? It's pure rubbish… “this celebrity went to this restaurant with this other celebrity and was wearing this shirt and these shoes. They ordered XYZ and celebrity A didn't finish their salad.” Seriously, that's what's printed in there and they sell zillions of em.

    I'm interested to hear what others have to say about this.

    There will always be Massives. When I was raving back in SF circa 92 you had massives, the same people that threw massives also threw amazing break-ins and such that were dirt cheap. People like different things, some like saying, “I saw the #1 dj in the world” and mark it off the records, good for them. If they are happy go for it. I'll do my thing and be happy too! I prefer 400 people max outdoor events with down to earth musicians and plenty of extra things going on. I say if that's what they want to do, just don't go if you don't like it…(besides it draws the cops away from our events lol)

    Maybe you misunderstand, I'm not complaining. I've wanted to see psy played at that venue for a while now.
    I wasn't @ Geologic… in fact I don't even think I lived around here then.

    I can't believe they book shpongle and you guys complain.

    Maybe you misunderstand, I'm not complaining. I've wanted to see psy played at that venue for a while now.
    I wasn't @ Geologic… in fact I don't even think I lived around here then.

    Get used to it. Psy is becoming more mainstream. We already have almost as much of a draw as DnB does in Minneapolis. Give me a few more years and we'll be able to pull 500 for psy only shows in the Twin Cities.

    Come up for atisfied next weekend. Theres 6 hours of psy and four of them are on a 50,000 watt wall of bass. You're not going to get that anywhere else in the midwest until Earthdance…
