I guess all that stuff you are calling psycore, I just consider to be dark psy. If you attach “core” to the name, I'm expecting to hear a real bass drum, not the psy ping pong crap. As far as I know, the only psycore out there is what you guys would call hardcore…

    Actually…

Maybe I should put together a set of what I consider psycore. Ya know, Skullblower, Napalm records, Agent Orange…

Nate, that would be referred as hardcore gabber / speedcore, wouldn't it?  ;D 8)

Not at all. You must not know the style I am referring to…

Well then, someone is gonna have to school me on this particular style, because the only psycore compilation in my collection,

    currently is More Than 160 Volume #2  8) ;D

Try to steal some No Name Strike on Fishkoph records, 220bpm and extremely psychedelic.

Damon, if you want some psycore, check out VA – Twisted Minds From Hell from Twisted Minds Records.  It's a three disc set.  I just finished browsing through it and holy shit.  fast, insane, as close to hardcore I think psy will ever get.  There are trax flyin over 200 bpm.

Most people have monitors that display resolutions higher than 640×480. Maybe it's time to retire your Polski 13xl…

I used to tell people that goa trance (this was awhile ago) was for hardcore djs that got old 🙂 Always felt the 4 to the floor was reminescent of more mellow hardcore. I will always love my hardcore , but alas people don't do it that well anymore, they taint it with breakcore and jungle 😛 Miss my crazy insane goofy pure beats from Ron D Core, all the Industrial Strength peeps, etc etc. Most wussed out and went breakcore 😛

(Disclaimer: I like breakcore sometimes )

Now Happy Psycore be cool! hehe

Don't get my wrong. I love hardcore music artists such as Lenny Dee, DJ Paul, even Ooze & Bruyah, for example. I love labels like Industrial strength, Storm, Bloody Fist, Fischkopf, even Mokum & I have to agree with you Jeff…Breakcore is decent, but all out crazy tunes are very hard to find. 8)
