// OUR VISION
Sacred Earth Open-Air, our longest running festival, is created as a Cosmic Condensate in which our music, motion, light and love form a structure in space and time… a microcosmic celebration of the infinite. We invite all to come dance, relax, join our community workshops and explore the wonder for 4 days and 3 nights in celebration of the sun’s peak: the 2016 summer solstice. Honoring the solstice can remind us just how precious each day and season is, because there is an absolute truth in its passing. As such, Sacred Earth Open-Air is a gift that we all give to each other. Come celebrate this phenomenon of the cosmos as The Chilluminati continues in our eleventh year of bringing psychedelic trance music, tradition and culture to the Midwestern United States.

***WE PROVIDE: 2 stages of sound, visuals and light, 4 days and 3 nights of camping in natural beauty in the Missouri Ozarks about 1 hour south of St. Louis at Astral Valley. Multiple campsites, natural beauty including caves and a stream on over 200 acres. Full vending onsite including art from leading regional artists.

***YOU PROVIDE: A tent, preparation for rugged conditions, enough food and beverages for the weekend (or some cash – food and beverages will be available for sale, including alcohol for 21+)

ABSOLUTELY NO GLASS and NO RENEGADE SOUND! (this includes sound systems at your campsite!)

Please respect the venue by keeping the grounds free of litter.

**This is a LEAVE NO TRACE EVENT**

Become part of the community. Help the planet, and help us. Pick up after yourself. Leave the site, and our reputation as a community, better than you found it.

NephilNine  (New York, New York)

http://www.facebook.com/Nephil9

NephilNine is the brainchild of New York artist Sue Helfrich, creating event decorations and installation art since 2004. A classically-trained artist with a degree in Fashion Design from Fashion Institute of Technology (NYC, USA), Helfrich is deeply involved in each NephilNine installation:

“What drew me to decorating events was a passion for immersing someone in a fantastic environment. As a child, I dreamed of being able to explore the surreal worlds portrayed in fantasy/science fiction movies and TV shows. Now I enjoy being able to create worlds of my own design, even if only for a night, so that others may explore them.”

The NephilNine repertoire includes stretched spandex forms, a variety of geometric and organic 3-D UV sculptures, and large-scale string installations. These often psychedelic creations define events ranging from underground dance parties and major music festivals to private ceremonies and celebrations all over the world. NephilNine’s art is primarily made of layered cut fabric shapes. The fabric, which is often combined with other types sculpture, shapes space and light, surrounding performers and participants in beautiful environments.

Each space is different. No two installations are alike. Each is a study of Impermanence, Improvisation, and Growth. Lighting provided by other artists adds changing dimension. NephilNine takes the entirety of the space into consideration when designing, including the environmental impact of the materials used.

Synesthesia Deco  (St. Petersburg, FL)

By definition, synesthesia is the merging together of senses.

Based in the southeast of USA, Psynesthesia is the psychedelic UV design project of Krikett. She has been involved with many forms of artistic expression since early childhood, and was always drawn to anything bright, unusual, and otherworldly.

In 2011 the concept was born, and thus began an ever expanding atmosphere enhancement project, inspired through attending numerous gatherings of many varieties, and motivated to continuously enhance the experiential movement for all who attend.

http://www.hedflux.com From an unrelenting curiosity to fuse the magic of high-end psychedelic trance with the versatile bass grooves of nu-skool breaks, Hedflux has developed a distinctive hybrid sound characterized by laser-precision engineering, liquid-tight grooves and a visceral, rampaging energy. Spending 10 weeks at the top of the Beatport breaks chart, and becoming the 3rd top selling tune of the year, Mindcell went on to win the coveted “Best Track” award at the 2011 Breakspoll International Breakbeat Awards. Hedflux has also received nominations for “Best Producer”, “Best New Producer”, “Best New DJ” and “Best Remix”, with his home label Broken Robot Records nominated for “Best Label” and “Best New Label”. Steve started deejaying in 1992, and gradually learned music production as a hobby while pursuing an academic interest in physics and mathematics. Graduating in 2004 with a PhD in quantum physics, Steve left academia and spent five years working in industry. During this time, the prospect of a life spent in service to big corporate interests inspired him to focus on music production with a much greater sense of passion and urgency, until finally leaving the corporate world in 2010 to pursue his creative ambitions full-time. Since then Hedflux has produced a string of ground-breaking original tracks on Broken Robot Records, as well as remixes for Lot49, U&A, Liquid, Aux Technology, Surfer Rosa, Digital Structures and more. With regular performances in the UK, Europe and Asia, Hedflux has also toured Australia and New Zealand, playing at some of the most legendary underground clubs and festivals in the world. His pioneering style and energetic performances have been warmly recieved in many different scenes within the electronic dance music community, inspiring like-minded souls to step up and develop their own interpretation of the sound. Now more comitted than ever, Hedflux continues to push the boundaries and diversify his style, forming collaborative relationships with some of the most cutting edge producers on the planet. In paralell with music production and performance, Steve has worked for over 7 years with leading dance music sound design companies Sample Magic and Sounds/To/Sample, producing dozens of high quality sample packs in various genres of electronic music. This has afforded him the opportunity to learn the techniques common to different styles, and integrate them into his own music.

Dixon's Violin
3:00 am - 6:00 am
Detroit, MI

The world’s premier visionary violinist, Dixon’s life mission is to inspire people – and he has done so across North America, including giving two TED talks/performances, ten years at Burning Man, plus radio, TV, and film appearances. Dixon walked away from a distinguished career to follow his dream full-time, and invented a whole new music genre. Based on his classically-trained violin mastery, Dixon now improvises on a 5-string electric violin with a looper to create an all-live one-man symphony. Guided by his remarkable personal story of life transformation, he shows the beauty of doing something seemingly impossible. Dixon’s passionate energy will enchant, mesmerize, and inspire you!

Spacey Koala
6:00 am - 9:00 am

A melomaniac since his youth, Spacey Koala aka François Clavet learned to play the guitar at the age of 8 and never stopped feeding his appetite for music ever since.
Greatly influenced by Django Reinhardt, he began to play Manouche/Gypsy swing jazz in bars, festivals and in many places in is homeland, Gaspesie. At the age of 18, while studying jazz guitar in Montreal, he discovered electronic music and in particular Psychedelic trance, which completely changed his vision of music.
He saw in this music an infinite number of possibilities and many new ways to manipulate sound, and this led him to think about creating his own blend of styles. So he started the Spacey Koala project, where his knowledge in jazz music could blend with electronic music and since beginning on this quest, his thirst for creation never ceased to increase.
Funky, groovy, twisted and spicy, Spacey Koala brings you into a world where sprites drives trucks, where elves knock at your door to offer you candy and where the public transport is done by rainbows.
Spacey Koala released his debut EP ‘Clown Thérapeute’ on Bandcamp in 2013, and in early 2014 Kinematic records released 2 more, ‘Palpable Thoughts’ and ‘The Controlled Delirium’ to great acclaim. Last year he released another 6 track EP/mini-album called "Farfeluisance Publique", under the guise 'Sleepy Koala.'
In 2015 we were very happy to release the first full length Spacey Koala album ‘Twistedelik Funky Activating Grooves’ and are even more delighted to announce the next Sleepy Koala EP ‘Eucalyptus Island is OUT NOW!

Dragon
9:00 am - 12:00 pm
T.O.U.C.H. Samadhi -- Pensacola, FL

Learning to dj in 1997, David aka ‘Dragon’ made the trek from progressive trance to the realms of psytrance by 2001, and started composing his own music around 2004. Dragon’s musical productions include a handful of singles as well as two full-length albums; “in.formation” released in January of 2009 and “spirals of time” released in March of 2011. The ‘dragon’ project is intended to contribute heavy and innovative tunes to be played on high quality sound systems around the world. His music tends to explore the darker realms of trance with ethereal soundscapes to create a unique and unfamiliar experience for the listeners. One can always expect thick kicks tuned with arpeggiated basslines, to provide the foundation for glitched up percussion and powerful leads with a variety of textures in every composition.

Lusid
12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

From the realms of Lusidelia the psychedelic funk guru Lusid fills your brain with cosmic mysteries and tales of mind altering experiences. This journey into the many realms of Lusidelia takes you to places you could only dream of. Lose your ego and dissolve into the sound of the Lusid experience.
During the live performance Dean McDonnell is on guitar, bass, vinyl scratching, didgeridoo, and vocals. Lusid uses the ancient aboriginal instrument (didgeridoo) to open the portal to the realms of Lusidelia. This is one of the signature parts of the journey that takes you back to your ancient aboriginal roots. While playing he transforms into many different characters, bringing a whole new innovation into live performance. It will surely bring you to a psychedelic state of mind unlike anything you have experienced before.

Perfect Stranger
12:00 am - 3:00 am
Iboga Records, Israel

Perfect Stranger is a stage name for Israeli based electronic musician Yuli Fershtat. Perfect Stranger was created around February 2005, and within 2 calendar years became critically acclaimed all over the globe, always showcasing the next step with his multi genre psychedelic dance music, and ultimately culminated being a genre of it’s own, presenting a totally distinctive sound, characterized by groovy playful beats and patiently built compositions.

His music often defies genres bridging between progressive trance and techno with a presence of tribal and psychedelic elements. Perfect Stranger is successfully performing over and over at the most desirable festivals on the planet such as Boom ( Portugal 2008, 2012, 2014 ), Rainbow Serpent ( Australia 2009, 2011, 2015 ), Eclipse Festival 2012 ), Symbiosis Gathering ( USA 2009, 2012, 2013, 2015 ), Universo Paralello ( Brazil 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2013 ), Glade Festival ( UK 2008, 2009 ), Antaris Festival ( Germany 2010, 2012 ), Ozora Festival ( Hungary 2012, 2015 ), Strawberry Fields Festival ( Australia 2011, 2012, 2015 ), S.U.N Festival ( Hungary 2013, 2014 ), Shambhala Festival ( Canada 2013 ), Subsonic Music Festival ( Australia 2011, 2013 ), Motion Notion Festival ( Canada 2012 ), Harvest Festival ( Canada 2011 ), Sunburn Festival ( India 2011 ), Eclipse Festival ( Canada 2010 ) and the list goes on and on.

Perfect Stranger released 3 full artist albums, 2 remixes albums, compiled 2 compilations and appears on well over a hundred other releases ( compilations, EP’s, albums etc ). He also owns the “Digital Structures” label, where he publishes more Tech orientated sounds.

After his epic “Free Cloud” album released on Iboga Records 2008 one of the critics wrote:

”A generic label would not do justice to the depth of Perfect Stranger's heartfelt music, which transposes feelings from across the wide range of human emotions. In his creation, you’ll find tracks inspired by the bliss of sunbeams, by an ironic but yet candid take on the simple pleasures of life, or by the darker side of the self. His demanding standards regarding what our man qualifies as the “art” of sound, have led him to appropriate today’s trend, undoubtedly Techno, which he also DJ’s with a rare understanding and acute intelligence. His “new hybrid sound”, that incorporates Progressive Trance embedded in the dirty Techno-ish grooves and breakdowns, actually enables to maintain that old school spirit that is missed so much nowadays, but in a totally new and exciting presentation and composition. That is why it's the ultimate brain candy out there at the moment.

Kri
7:00 am - 9:00 am
T.O.U.C.H. Samadhi, Asheville NC

Founder of T.O.U.C.H. Samadhi

Amidst the constantly changing psy-trance genre, Kri has exhibited a continuing passion for the depth and multi-layered sound that evolved from Goa Trance in the early days of the scene. While playing and composing melody driven tracks that always demonstrate skilled musicianship, Kri rouses listeners into fluid, euphoric motion and paints the party a vibrant psychedelic shade.

Playing and producing Psychedelic Goa Trance for over 24 years, Kri demonstrates immense dedication to the art by his ceaseless attention to every detail of the experience. Be it playing, composing, mastering, or promoting, there is no area in which Kri falters, making sure to work respectfully alongside other gifted artists devoted to the trance scene. His flawless mixing skills have earned him the respect of promoters around the country, and his professional approach to event production has elevated the TOUCH Samadhi annual fall gathering to one of the premier trance festivals on the East coast, blending a rich variety of live and electronic musical performance, sublime psychedelic visual art, and a message of universal peace, which together catapult attendees into intergalactic spiritual bliss.

As a performer, Kri weaves a musical spell that indulges listeners into easily merging with and being uplifted by positive Twilight Psychedelic Trance tracks. The sound he creates through his live act Annunaki is being heralded around the planet and is breathing simmering new life into the Trance world as if the music is propelled by a dragon high on Kundalini yoga. Kri’s superb intuition for playing to the human element produces a dance floor experience of complete immersion, of carnal union with the velvety flow of the beat, the body, the bass, the boom. Whether spinning a DJ set or performing a live set of his own compositions, Kri brings us music that forces us to remember why we are alive and to give thanks for every nuance of that sacred gift.

Scatter is the moniker of Phil Fennig - DJ, musician, and promoter hailing from the Midwest. One of the core members of The Chilluminati, he has been found over the past ten years DJing and promoting various psytrance festivals and events throughout the US, from Wisconsin to Colorado to California to Hawaii. Generally, he's the one on the edge of the dancefloor glancing with shifty eyes on the lookout for stray dinosaurs. His musical offerings are best described as just that [musical], preferring selections that are both as complex and mind-bending as they are melodic and sensible. He tends to focus on the full-on side of things in his DJ sets, though you may catch him wandering into the airy fields of progressive or the hypnotic oceans of psychill. Currently he is at work on a downtempo project under the name Prismaspect.

About The Chilluminati:

Psychedelic trance, chill and ambient are the music that we play. Music in itself is a transformative and psychedelic agent. Our gatherings are more than music, however. They are multidimensional and multifaceted experiences-incorporating musical, visual, art and kinetic performances, as well as interactive workshops and community.

Our gatherings are about transformation and becoming. Whatever your sense of spirituality is, you bring that to the event. At our gatherings everyone takes responsibility for the event, others and themselves.

Our gatherings have an atmosphere and a vibe. The event is a field of energy that connects us. Our gatherings are about expressing yourself, being creative, and being an individual. Our gatherings are inclusive and open.

Our gatherings are both local and planetary; reflective of the American Midwest, yet global and culturally diverse.

We respect local laws and customs.

Our events are a gift which we all (organizers, artists, DJs, stagehands and attendees) give to each other. This is not about money, commercialization and exploitation. This is not a product; this is a community.

Hey I want to volunteer for SEF 2017 and I was hoping I could reserve my spot to do so before the festival. It’s a 10 hour drive for me and I would hate to get there to discover that there are no volunteer spaces left. Please let me know if this is possible and if so how do I go about reserving my spot.
Thank you!

I’m excited to bear witness to the finite splendour of our glorious mother, our earth with my lover in hand being washed over and through within standing upon the precipice of nubility. Yes and thank you.

Never have I ever been to a major psytrance family gathering. Yet psytrance has been a solid part of my life for the last 10 yrs.

Being a part of this beautiful and weird experience would only help complete my soul.

There are no words to describe how much I would love to be there.

Cosmic Reunion embodied the above words about the Chilluminati, and inspired. To be a part of the community and keep that vibe and energy rising at SacredEarth is what I desire. And on the solstice and full moon…

God I hope I can make this event; this not having a job thing is absolutely terrible (If I just wanted any job, I could have one–I currently am cleaning a friend’s apartment to pay the bills,–I want a career establishing job. I’ve been graduated from college for a year–I don’t think it’s much to ask for a non-soul crushing position in my field.) This was the only fest that I was planning on attending all year after hearing my kindred soul spirit gush about how wonderful this event is and how much I need to go. My fingers are crossed that I can come out with my best friend/kindred soul spirit. If I can make it, hopes are that I will see you all there!

My girlfriend and I are hoping to attend this festival! I’ve never been to a camping music festival and this is so close to home for me, there’s no reason I shouldn’t go! This also falls on the weekend of me and my girlfriends one year!

There’s always been something missing from my life, something that I’ve craved for. Some kind of awe-inspiring experience, surrounded by nature and music. I think I have finally found that something. I’ve never been to a music festival, but this sounds absolutely incredible. A few nights out in a valley surrounded by beautiful people, music, and scenery… I must do it! It’s calling to me.

Ciao!! I just found you on Astral Valley’s event page “CoSmiC ReuniOn” and I think it is an absolute MUST for me to attend Sacred Earths event, regardless of how I obtain my ticket. I wouldn’t mind a bit to purchase one for myself. Money well spent is how I see it. I’m honestly interested in volunteering 4sure. The link I came across was being ornery and didn’t allow me to complete the mission 🙂 I’ll figure it out mos def, no worries at tAlll. I look forward to share the lovley air at Astral Valkey. It’s truly Divine . I dwell not far from that venue. Travel safe lovelies

I have a special circumstance…. The electronic music community has been such a transoformitive part of my life. The way the community comes together to make a tribal living atmosphere and then we all get to stomp to the same beat until all of our judgments have gone and we are one…. Its so beautiful. I am currently fighting cancer and the music helps me open my heart and move my body enough to keep going…. Being able to go to this gathering (which is halfway across the country) would mean that I got to see friends I have not seen in ages. Everyday is a miracle for me right now, and if there is anyway you could help me and my friend get in, winning tickets, or maybe just a discount, we could help a bit I’m sure, and I would help promote and promise to spread awesome vibes on the dancefloor! (I have been a head/lead dancer in the community in california for years, as well as helped throw and thrown my own events for years) As I am probably not going to be able to travel for much longer, please let me know if there is anything you can do to help. I would super appreciate it and do anything I can to contribute to your beautiful community! Thank you so much for creating this awakening experience for all. Namaste!!!

I attended sacred for the first time about 4 years ago … I met some friends who helped me overcome fear and doubt.. Showed me love and kindness… This is just not a one time event it’s a lifetime experiance…it’s Resdiual . Thank You all for showing love helping me grow and awaken … I could write a whole book about how This could possibly be the true porthole to transformation .. I could give my testimony..it would take days to read. If I win tickets or not .. I will still be there … However it would really be helpful .. In the future I would love to see the fire circle back …. This is my fire home and I was a sad clown last year missing Alicia and the crew from intrinsic arts… would like to see a fire circle this year …. More art instilations would be jammin and it would be super sweet to have a big colaboritave painting some where close to main stage… I could go on forever.. I truly love this place.. See you in the woods
