I'm 100% serious about having a psy Halloween party there. Book it, Tyler… or we will, hehehe. Oct 31st is on a Friday this year…  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D
    [/img]

Howabout you move it to saturday since we've alreay booked the friday and will be bringing tons of [psy to minneapolis. It would be pretty ridiculous if EVERY one of these conflicted with one of ours.

    This raises an interesting point…
There are bound to be tons of parties on Friday night, causing uber-conflicts. But will people show to an event on Saturday night after they've partied their ass off on Friday??

I think a Sat night-after-halloween event could conceivably work in a college town. Thoughts?
Also, what does U of I do for Halloween? Some colleges have notoriously huge parties, like OU in Athens OH.

Actually – Sat will work better for an all psy event as EVERYONE at the party is driving from afar. Friday party don't do well for psy as people work till 4 or 6 pm and have to drive.

Also – I plan on booking about 6 guys, so your talent pool will be limited…

Yea? You could probably fit all my knowledge about Madison on an index card.

I know OU boasts like… 40,000+ ppl, and only about half of those are college students. Frankly it's a huge clusterfuck I'd rather avoid. The potential to make cash is insane tho.

wow.  what a great party.  The lineup was amazing.  Perfect flow.  As always, underfoots track selection was spot on…great progression of tunes.  Very intelligent dj'ing.  GoD was phoenomenal.  Great seeing ben really grooving out…haven't seen you dance like that in a while.  Andy, i was telling everybody there how impressed i am w/ the progress you've made dj'ing in such a quick period.  You and ben worked well together.  Professor was a treat as usual.  As expected, they wheeled him out w/ the speakers.  thanks to everybody who had the energy for my set…first time i got to play some suomi, and it's not gonna be the last  8)  Had a blast, big thanks tyler.

Was too bad there were conflicts that kept the entire family from coming, but these things occur…just gonna make Sacred Earth that much more enjoyable.  See ya under the stars  🙂

Right, so lets not have them all on the same day.

As for the venue, i think that it is impossible to have a “true” two room psy/chill party there just because of the room placement.  The sound in the chill room was painfully loud as to be not drowned out by the psy room.  It was a little uncomfortable.  But when you got in to the psy room, the volume wasn't THAT loud.. .it was just right.  Multi genre events involving most of EDM are hard for me to do, so I am thinking about what to do there in the future… Perhaps just a one room setup, which is not a bad thing either.

Actually, I thought the psy room was quite loud.  I might have just been the reverberation of the room, but you could have gotten away with setting the limiters a bit lower.  That situation does kind of suck because I always like it when you get solid, clear speakers for the chill stage and keep the volume low.  However, I loved the venue as a whole…especially the COSTUME ROOM!

Great seeing everyone again.  Thanks for showing up, Nick! 🙂  That's probably one of the best Paul sets I've seen, and I liked it the most out of the night probably.  Andy, you definately have gotten a lot better in a very short amount of time.  Nice work to GoD, though I think you guys overdid it on the effects a little.

Also, great vending!  I liked all the choices!

Overall, I had a really really good time.  Thank you Tyler, Rob, and everyone else who helped bring everything together.  See everyone in 3 weeks!  (3 weeks party 3 weeks party 3 weeks party…)

The three or four years prior to the city charging for Access to State Street for Halloween here in Madison saw riots and one of those years had 100,000 plus people.  I lived on state for one of those years.  I don't recommend it.

After my 12 hour airport experience yesterday, I'm still too tired and scattered to write a proper review.  Maybe that also serves as a clue about what a great event it was for me!  🙂

Thanks to everybody (and I do mean pretty much EVERYBODY I talked to).  I had fun.  You folks in the midwest are quite enjoyable to be around and it's always a refreshing experience to get down with you all.

The limited amount of pictures I took turned out grainy and dissatisfying.  None of them are worth posting, really, except the pictures of those circular political signs that were placed about (cheers on that, BTW).
