Howdy y'all!

I'm a part of the group organizing the 1st annual Chicago Decompression Party on September 30th. It will be outside in Chicago's West Loop/Industrial Corridor, starting in the afternoon and going well into the night, with a rockin' after party in the same hood.

We have a limited amount of space, albeit a very large lot, so If you have an idea for a mini-theme camp, an art installation, environmental performance, a kissing or fortune telling booth, body and face painting, art cars, large scale anything… give me a shout here through tribe. In addition, community arts centers or programs, we'd love to work with you to help you establish a presence on our playa on the prarie.

Also, we are going to have a perfomance stage for acts of all sorts that will perform throughout the day into the evening. I'm putting the word out to all you performers out there who have ideas, SEND THEM MY WAY!!!

Give me a short, concise synopsis of what your performance would entail and also let me know if there is any special gear or staging that would be required.

I dunno. That's another parenting conflict weekend for me so I gotta pass.

I originally was going to bring my daughter when I thought it was a true city of chicago block party, hence would have mundanes and other plain citizens making sure everybody was on good behavior. Now it sounds like another loft type party that I can't risk bringing her too. :sigh:
