    Ok my turn now  😉

After reading all those reviews I think I'm the only one  ??? who did not feel it. Probably because I have so much shit going in my life@this moment I couldn't focus  on anything ….

That old post office building is a great space (2 big rooms and great outdoor area). Although to make it psytrance/chill friendly it requires a LOT of work (deco in particular) -psytrance dj booth had a nice setup indeed, but that was it. Once you left dancefloor you were surrounded by bare walls and a lot of weird stuff. Visuals – heh – interesting for 1st 5 minutes 🙂 There are so many great apps and dvds you could play instead that soooo repetitive Apple screen saver. And on BOTH stages. Laser could be barely seen (I know there was no fog) – not sure if it was located in the right place (it did not show its full capability for sure). I think the whole venue was too bright in general. Industrail/chill room setup (or it's lack) was also  😉 I think you guys should move more sofas into that room to fill it up. Or throw at least few pillows or something – people laying on the bare floor – not a good idea imho.

Music: having industrial (which I enjoyed) for THAT long (didn't even bother to ask why we had to play later than it was scheduled) wasn't a good idea. For some reason I had an image of room filled with tons of industrial freaks. Those few who abandoned their djs for new psytrance gods do not justify imho having 2nd room occupied for the most of the night by industrial music. Sound bleed coming from the psytrance room (especially in the morning) wasn't also very pleasant. I know most people don't give a fuck about chill music but I heard it from people who just wanted to rest somewhere without being exposed to hardcore industrial/trance  😉

And what was the deal with party being “sold out”? Is there a capacity limit or something? Not sure if there were any people who couldn't get in but that venue could easily accomodate another 100 people…..

On the other hand I had a great time talking to all my friends and listening to some wicked tracks played by Ascension at the end of his set, Oooze (especially during 2nd half of their live act) and Abe's morning power trance which I enjoyed the most.

Can't wait to go back there (only 2 hrs drive is a real blessing hehe) and see how things changed  8)

You have a lot of good points, Damon… Since this was my first event at that venue, it was more of a learning experience — how it is set up, laid out, etc.  I think that for future parties there, it will be great improvement, for sure.  As for the visuals, i left a stack of DVDs at home (gasp) – and had to improvise.  It was better than nothing (or was it…?)

The event “sold out” because that was the deal that was made with the venue in order to go all night — we can only allow door sales until a certain time.  Future events there will have an identical structure.

The industrial room was an experiment as well and at the next event there will be more focus on progression — I believe that we won't be playing ANY industrial beyond 2-3 am next time around.  It's a great idea i think, but it needs work.  Just as all things do.

I am really liking the potential with this place — it'll probably take a few more times to fine tune it (much like at Elandorf), but for the first “trial run”, it was damn good.  🙂

I told you@the party that I liked the venue and it's potential a lot. LIke you said- few adjustments and we should have excellent venue.

This is in the works.  My wife and I are working on a VJ/DJ set.  Equipment is there, we are just gathering material.
