I know a lot of people were just to broke to go. I overextended myself to go – but I have no common fiscal sense 😀  Prolly won't see me much until burning man, gotta be a worker bee now and learn how do all this shit I got in my mind 😉

I thought tent over psystage dance area was too weird. Sound was louder under there and the visual focus too directed on the dancers. Too inhibited feeling, IMHO. I mean, it looked great, but needs to be in the back for people to chill and/or dance or whatever…

Thanks, that makes sense. we will try to keep main tent further back in the future.

Fire needs to be closer to one stage or another, like in previous Secret Fire (awsome locale by the chill stage) or Karmaclysm (good for keeping warm by psy stage). No one really hung out by it cause it was too far from the action!

We will try but that's a hard one. The problem is, fire is only safe in certain locations. I think we could persuade venue owners to set up a fire circle closer to the chill stage. I totally agree with you though, I think about it all the time. Fire really needs to be closer. At NCN, the fire on the beach is almost completely ignored, it has to be in the vicinity of the chill space. I will talk to Marv for Crystal Sky.

Debbie and I just discussed Robyo's suggestions, and she suggested buying a portable firepit.

    Such as this:

    portpit.gif

this would allow us to have a fire pretty much anywhere so long as there is no fabric directly overhead. I already have one, but it may be too big to easily transport.

If other Chillum'uddin brought them (transporting is the hard part) it would give us more flexibility. Some models might break down into a pretty small bundle.

Sweet.  That'd be better.  It didn't really feel like an open air party as much with that tent there.  Also, I know there probably wasn't much that could be done about it, but the ground around the main stage was awful for dancing on.  I was almost afraid of spraining my ankle…almost. 😉

Overall though, great great party.  Loved the chill stage, loved the hookahs, loved Flying scorpions at 7 in the morning.  Killer.

I think it is nice to spread the events out across the midwest btw. I got to party with a lot of my Kansas & Missouri peeps that I normally can't because it is too far for them (much like at Geologic last year!).  Of course, being in Iowa, we can go anywhere cause we are in the middle and relentless 😉

For all the people raving about the tubular crin, here is where I write up how you can get yours:

    http://forum.chilluminati.org/index.php/topic,8.0.html

You have to have a tax ID and buy at least $100 in an order.

This is what tubular crin looks like (Eye glued the I's on).  I have found that it is much more cost effective to just steal a small amount from your friends than ordering it online.  Seriously though I already know what I'm making for Crystal Sky and I just may need $100 worth of crin.  Just may need to borrow someone with a tax ID.

Wowwza … looks like you guys had a blast!! 😀

I'm so bummed about missing this one… I've been listening to a lot of Suomisaundi and this party probably defined the genre! Damn.

Did Texas Faggott play though ? I saw them on all the tour lineups except for Secret Fire. Didnt have anything to do with the 'name' did it ?  🙂

Miss you all … I'm still living in the wake of Sacred Earth!  ;D Working in Bangalore till Aug. Great place … fantastic weather. Not many parties though, so I'm doing my own music work. Cant wait for Crystal Sky… trying to get all the peeps I can out to that one.

Enzoy the rest of this wonderful summer!

So what are you up to in Bangalore?

my current client has considerable outsourcing via Kanbay and I see people flying back and forth between Chicago, Mumbai and Bangalore constantly.
