I'm pretty sure they just got there early and started helping out.

yeppers they were, they came up to the gate after getting settled in and asked how they could help. I pointed them towards the deco 😀

That's part of why I love this scene, people that take part in events just cause they want to….and they don't care really if anyone noticed.  They can just know in their mind that what they did made it better.
