Wowza.  What an amazing weekend it was.  Thank you to Chilluminati, everyone involved with organizing, all the talent, all the artists, and all the beautiful smiling faces. 

100% non-stop absolute good times were had from start to finish.

Thank you very very much for giving me the opportunity to mix visuals at the event.  I had so much fun blasting visuals on the main stage friday night on into Saturday morning.  I was a little bit bummed about not getting to project visuals Saturday night on the 2nd stage due to the weather but it actually turned out for the better anyways.  I got my VJ fix Friday night and got to wander and party Saturday night so it was all good in the end.

Great music, beautiful land, awesome weather, beautiful friends, yummy food, badass art, and everything else was all gooooooooood! 

Thank you to those who attended my little string art workshop Saturday afternoon.  I hope it was an effective knowledge transfer.  Our finished piece was hung up on the chill stage right above the djs.

I got so many strange looks when people asked me why I came all the way from Phoenix, Arizona.  It's because you all rock and I love to contribute wherever I can to help be a part of such awesomesauce.

Seriously, that was fucking amazing.  I was expecting Care Bears to start sliding down it at any minute and given the cheer that went out and the smiles on peoples faces, they might have.

Thanks for having us again.  More verbose thanks and memories when restfulness is accomplished.

Sunday morning was amazing. Rastaliens, then Annunaki. I was bummed about braincell, but Annunaki cheered me right up. Rastaliens played a song that I will now spend the next weeks searching for, it was really awesome.

This event was absolutely amazing!

Music – The line up was simply perfect, with all the facets of psytrance represented. It was a nice change from what I feel has become an overly dark selection by many promoters. I truly enjoyed hearing only the best new music of every possible subset of psytrance instead of having it be the same for large blocks of time. In fact, even the old music was repped quite well by including an all vinyl set at the beginning.
(would have been realy sick to have Kri vs Kaiser Soze on 4 tech 12's from 1pm till 9 pm on sunday, but that can be next year!)

My personal favorites were Shapestatic and the fusion band. Everything else was SRSLY top notch, but those two were the ones that made me go “wow! are you hearing this?” to the random people next to me.

I had a BLAST playing my slot on saturday morning and I really enjoyed watching people get lured into the room and be smiling, then break out laughing when they finally realized that that melody in the background is Milli Vanilli or Megadeth, or whatever it was at the moment. It was really awesome to meet the couple from FL who had seen me play a few weeks before in SC. I really hope to see more parts of the country this summer. Nothing has been as rewarding to me as the psytrance experience.

Sound – It was a real shame that the power problems caused the right subs to fry out, but luckily the sound men were pros and handled the situation with grace and style. I can't even imagine the epic drama that would have ensued if this happened with the previous sound person. Even with the system being unbalanced due to missing speakers, Kurt was able to achieve a nice balanced sound that did not hurt the ears and offered a full range of frequency response. From an artists perspective, I truly appreciated working with a sound man that was there
FOR the music, not his own ego. When I was setting up my gear, he was there to ask what I needed to get an optimal signal to his system, and even went as far as to go find me a set of long XLRs to run me straight into his board instead of having me run an rca form my mixer/soundcard to the main DJ mixer the person currently playing was using. This showed extreme respect to both me and Aerosis, as he did not have to even break his concentration while someone fucked with the mixer. Over the weekend(I know this for a fact because I was on the dancefloor for 30+ hours) I saw each and every DJ/Artist get the same professional treatment either from Kurt or from one of his crew. Five stars.

Deco – Killer. Not sure where all the extra tapestries came from, but they were awesome. I'm assuming Kri and BSM? Either way, everything was top notch and done well. I REALLY enjoy that we now have our(yes, I am claiming the midwest as my home forev er, no matter where I may hang my hat)  own UV graffiti artists.

Setup and Location – It's so very appropriate to have a psy scene that still has ties to our original world class rave scene. Coming back to NCN is like nothing else for me. I have been playing this venue since 1995 and it hold so many memories that I feel ready to explode when I let them overtake me. A good friend was seen crying his heart out upon being forced to get in the car and leave. A festival with a warehouse for the main stage is so perfect to me in so many ways that I cannot express how much I preferred being in the woods, but having a roof and a cement floor to dance on. No sprained ankles, no rain, no sunburn = winning. I cannot express properly how much I despise dancing on a hill. Polished concrete versus uneven ground is like a wall of bass vs monitors.

People – I feel really bad that I left the area to get away from the very small group of truly horrible people that were ruining the experience for me now that I realize how much I truly love the LARGE group of people that are responsible for there even being a positive experience to get ruined. Now that I have some perspective on it, I realize that there are horrible people everywhere, and what really matters is your collection of awesome people. I know that one day I will be coming home to the midwest to stay, but for a while, I think we will keep on broadening our horizons, as I don't think that if we come back right away, there's much chance of us seeing as much of the world.

Conclusion – Thank you, everyone. Anni and I are both recharged and ready for life again.

F.  ???  i always leave psy parties sad wishing it were still going.. but this time… THIS TIME I really didn't satisfy my appetite…. almost embarrassing tbh. i tried to do the whole beer and nothing else thing.. maybe that was the problem?  ;D err.. the color purple is flashing through my brain? damn indica.

enjoyed the workshops i attended.. (production could have def. used that projector i offered to bring.. next time.. next time)

the only downfall that wasn't my own bs was Kilowatts being on such a small sound system…….. I will never be OK with that…  i understand why.. but just not for me  :-  still at least the small system was of good quality  😉

also.. when are you guys going to do 3 nighters… i would appreciate this soooooooooooooooooooo much!

and as always.. THANK YOU to EVERYONE involved in making such monumental things happen!!

highlights for me were progress' downtempo set, brent and nick, kevin and leo, oh and machi and klimax on sunday after my bear like hibernation (right through all the psy i came to see  :'( :'( :'( :'( ) was refreshing to say the least! THANKS!

as for NCN.. seems like a really awesome venue! one thing though.. i found my self imagining what goes down there on “other” weekends.. lets say those thoughts weren't very pleasant.

SUPER AWESOME TIME thank you SO much EVERYBODY! It always makes me happy to see so many different people come together and create awesome, fun, (mostly) positive experiences… Witchdokta was awesome, as was Spectral Monkey, and I was absolutely blissed for DJ Loki's Sunday afternoon set…. I GOT HIM TO PLAY DANCE MUSIC AT THE CHILL STAGE (or at least that is what I believe and will keep telling everybody until he says otherwise. hehehe) ^_^

My faith in humanity has once again been restored by another quality Chilluminati party.  The music was top notch all weekend . . . Killowatts peeled my skull back with a super groovy set.   Sad to see the main stage indoors, but I understand shit happens sometimes.  The deco and sound were impressive though. I met so many kindred spirits over the weekend, and I hope to see you all again soon.  

I'm still glowing.
