one day, i'm sure, (and then it would be listed as “justincaseboy”), but this will just be a dj set….

and to clarify, most of my sets the past 6-9 months have been 100% justincaseboy material, i just haven't done it for my northern ncn family yet. 😉  (i think last year it was like 50%)

Eh, I equate *LIVE* with being all original material anyway.  I've seen people stand up there and just transition all their own material and not really do anything live.  I'm ok with it though.  I think the only designation should be whether it's original material or you're dj'ing other people's stuff.

Honestly, I don't care.  If you spent a lot of time making something awesome, I don't need you to stand up there and reproduce it live.  As long as you're active and putting on a good show, I'm all about the music itself.  And that's good enough to be a *LIVE* set in my opinion.

Granted it starts to get interesting when tracks you know sound different because the artist is doing different things to it live.  So I guess, either always having fresh material or changing old stuff significantly is all that really matters to me.

BUT.. its really cool to think someone is giving you something unique that may never be heard again…

lots of people say its really hard with genres like psy because of all the side chaining and the fact that the music sounds way different with out mastering/compression..

I dunno though.. I still think the experience of a cd at home and the artist “live” should have more variance than track order and speaker wattage  ::)

This is why I'm ultra stoked about kilowatts.. I'm pretty sure he is using an openlabs unit running ableton.. so HOPEFULLY he is doing something innovative.. we'll see.

I'm very excited to share the psybreaks sound with you all.
The stuff being made today is a bit different than older downtempo chill stuff.
I've been getting a lot of tracks that fall in between 135-155 bpm with influences from electro-breaks, IDM, dubstep, and psytrance.

I'm one of only a couple people in the US that play this style, so I'm honored to be the one to bring it to you!
I know my past Sacred Earth sets have spanned everything from house to drum & bass, but this time it's all psybreaks baby!
Expect unreleased material, VIP mixes, and even a couple original tracks.

someone in the non-psy tent at Earthdance played a Soteg track in the middle of the night on Saturday and I wasn't sure who was playing at the time. I was changing clothes in my tent and I got so excited that I fell over. Anyone gonna fess up to that?

hey skroller! sounds tasty! but to be honest I think ALOT of west coast dubstep/breaks should be considered psychedelic.. like almost the entire mutimusic catalog of 09-10
