NightowLMemberthe edgier South African stuff would not be described as dark to most, but is more under the label of “power” psy. this is relating to the nasty basslines combined with intense, at times moody melodies that lie between the realms of full on and dark. Some of this stuff, particularly the first hour of ctrl:alt:del's set would be classified as “twilight” to many as well. his live stuff is mainly power morning with just a hint of twilight to me… he's actually probably the lightest act on Nexus media.
As for Facehead, he is not what most would call dark either, more just nasty. Some of his stuff is kind of dark, but i'd say pretty much the only dark stuff of the night was the ooze and nick, which was what I would call “dancey dark” aka the good stuff in terms of dark.
anyways, theres my attempt at trying to state what most educated psyheads would label different types of psy for the day 🙂

Funny, when listening to Faceheads set, I kept thinking to myself, “Daaaaaaaaaamn, that's Naaasty.” In a good way obviously.
