HARDKORNATEMember1st option: Saturday (8ish pm till 2:30am, 2 rooms)
ftw! 😉
I think the Chicago bar scene is more than ready for some regular psy. At least, I know I am!
No bar scene is ready for psy. 😉
Bullshit.
damianMemberI vote Saturday and would like to help out.
Its about damn time for some psy in Chicago.
EnergonMemberActually, we (Rendezvous) and Radiohiro are supposed to be starting a monthly event @ Darkroom sometime in the near future.
Will there be trance? 😉
DUH! 😀

Some hater I guess …
Mr. RobotoGuestOk , other than voting on this, is there any progress being made. If not what venues does anyone have in mind. Sound and talent will never be a problem, we just need to know where to go. I have a place in mind but it is more of an underground type place.
I could also talk to Rapha about getting back into the Pontiac Cafe. They've always been cool about us playing psy there. It is kinda small though with no space for a second area.
It would also be nice to find a venue with a bar but not necessary. Anyone know if the space at Dulcenea is being used or what the story is.
Polls pretty much speak for themselves but talk is cheap. Let's make this happen.
I say we start with just once a month and see where it goes from there.
damonMemberDulcenea is no more.
There's one venue with 2 rooms than can be used on Saturday (it needs to be booked at least 1 month in advance). Main room has a soundsystem already. Party can go from even 8pm til 2:30am. There's a bar although owner keeps all incom cause there's no rental fee. We can charge@the door if we want to. We can bring our own door staff/security etc.
2nd venue is a 1-room club with GREAT soundsystem (venue very well known in Chicago) that MAY be available on Thursdays. Again: no fees, we can charge at the door, party from 9pm-2am.
Personally I prefer option #1.
Rob, If you're interested just pm or call me.

I, personally, don't think Pontiac is a good place for psytrance which scared regulars (every time) and owner (last time).

My fault last time, I played some dark psy leading up to Agent Hurt, and went a little over the top.

LMAO, I did. Chicago is way to far to go for a 2 am event.

I don't think so. 1st time I played there I upset a lot of regulars with my psychill stuff (Nate stfu) ;D
damonMemberPontiac is a hard rock orientated music. A lot of bikers in the summer etc. There were occasional house music parties (even James Holden spun there once) but that's it. So … you have to bring in 50 psyheads to replace complaying douchebags 8)

You probably put them to sleep, or maybe they thought it was time to get off the elevator?
