thanks kevin  ;D will be trying asap

not a good tip for most…. but if anyone has an ipod/iphone/ipad touch.. quit being lazy and get touchOSC and Osculator for mac or puredata for windows (ithink?)

before i got my phone i thought that stuff would be confusing/difficult to set up… but it turns out its easy peasy

i just made a template that is a replica of impulse.. i only made it for 6 drum cells but that literally only requires me to copy and paste twice to make all 8..

not like some silly drum pads.. i mean full mapping of the synth parameters with labels and color coding etc.. and on the master page i'm going to set up a random and velocity for a little drum machine in the palm of my hand (as long as i have wi-fi)  setting up an ad-hoc network IS confusing/difficult

did you see richie hawtin doing sound check from the sound booth at demf… that is 25 $ worth of software making that happen !!!!!!!!!!!!!! its the futah !!!!!!!!!!!

forget about jet packs.. we got the internet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

h3xl3r is porting touchosc to android, so when this finally happens, those cheap chinese android ipad knockoffs will become mini-lemurs.

$150 for a custom programmable midi controller? yes please.

anyone know anything about Omnisphere?  I just got it working and am really excited at the the potential of this thing.  Just wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks.  It makes some damn cool noises that's for sure.  ;D  I'm downloading some tutorial videos to watch as I think this synth deserves me spending some time on it.

Here's a free pack of 290 Roland 606 drum samples (have to create an account to d/l):

what would you like to know?

i can tell you not to ignore the synth engine that's there. most people look at Omnisphere as a ROMpler, but the synth engine is pretty powerful and sounds very good.

Another good use for soundcloud: when you're working on a track (at any point), post it private just to yourself, and use the timed comments to make notes on what you want to change. I've found good use doing this when I want to check a mix on headphones at work.
