earthdance 2009 isn't up here and it was the best event I've been to in my life. (and I think their is still lots of room for improvement)

Why does everyone love ED 2009 so much?
The others I've been to were sooo much better..

plus i go for the music more than anything and electrypnose (as i've stated) is TO ME by far the most innovative “psy” producer EVER.

so thats it… but yeah i'd agree.. there were some down moments, I could understand if sacred earth this year blows that party away. (still, without electrypnose.. i'm not sure its possible FOR ME)

I do think that if the cops never came my impressions would be different.

That definitely brings light to why you would like it so much.  I definitely feel similar as far as Electrypnose is concerned.  I wouldn't call him the most innovative psy producer, but he certainly has a music ear that could kill a horse from 3 miles away.  All of the genres he producers sound very coherent and professional.  I wanted to hear his day stuff and was severely disappointed when I didn't get to.

Props(tacos?) to you for going for the music.  I appreciate the fact that you realize the event is a music performance before everything else.  Long live 'sound in time.'

For me, events aren't music performances first and foremost. I dunno about you guys, it's not about any one aspect for me. It's about the whole experience.

^^ of course it is about everything… but like I've stated before.. when you are traveling far and spending hundreds of dollars.. and aren't very good at making new friends.. the MUSIC is why I go.

I think the parties i've been to so far (2 mop & earth dance) were amazing “parties”. but considering I pretty much only talked to my friends/girlfriend I could have done that at home.. but seeing Electrypnose, Kode Six, Aligning Minds, Dragon were absolutely breath taking experiences!!

hopefully someday the reasons I come up will be more balanced  😉

The line up for SE this year smokes the line up for ED. Completely. Well, it's about 50% more win. This is a scientific number. SRS. Of course, ED this year wil have to crush the line up for SE. And so on and so forth, ad infinitum, win beats win in the end.

Psy trance fests/parties would be nothing more than people standing around/camping without the music. 

I like to think people can be realistic and give respect to the music where it's due.
If this psy community completely dropped the music, do you honestly think the events would turn out like they do?
Without the music in the background there is nothing and that's why these events are about the music before all else.
