This is the first new mix ive done in over a year. Those who were at Earthdance will recognize some of it, as i really liked that set so much i figured i should record it. (sorry, THE Audialize track, not included) but its still tasty…..

On a more personal note, a close family member passed away at the exact time this set was being recorded, so hence the title of it. Also because of this, i wanted to preserve the mix, exactly as it was, so no editing, no re-do's or none of that…. As a result, its not perfect. Generally i wont put out a mix that isnt perfect, but this time around… I feel this is much more meaningful and personal

If you had read the fine print when you signed up on the Chilluminati Forum it states:

I dig it, really. Awesome mixture, I am not even going to comment the transitions cuz I really think that mixing on two turntables (cd decks) doesn't get any better than that.  I love how you are coming in with Materia track…. long, long mix and work out very nice and listening the first time I was really curious how you were going to come out of it. And the flow… bits just flow like no tomorrow and all the breakdowns you left out …. only cool ones.
Well, it's all “like a drug trip I saw in the movie when I was on that drug trip”  ;D.

Sweet.  I think I listened to it like 5 or 6 times yesterday.  After the last run I kept being like shit…I need to hear that again, and then I'd put the pod back at 4 minutes and get blown away again.  The synth work is incredible…perfect synergy between all parts and creation of the “psy organism” if you know what I mean ;).

Sorry to hear about your loss, but am happy to have this mix!

I actually prefer to hear mixes “in the raw” — keeps it human.  Even when you're totally off-the-cuff, you're still the high bar the bulk of us aspire to.  It's taken me nearly 6 years to gain HALF the ear/technique you have…which I suppose comes from doing a LOT of it…with regularity…as an actual figurehead in the US trance scene.

So, you know…well done there 🙂
