I've heard good things about Open Office. Definitely I am going to use this instead of Microsoft for my next computer.

It's pretty neat.  I've taught a few people the basics on it.  It's a little different than microsoft.  I don't use it myself, but if I had the choice, I would.

i use it pretty much exclusively at work. everybody else i work with uses M$ Office.

I have had zero issues so far, and part of what I do is convert forms from Word docs to background images for digital medical forms…
