so….just a heads up, shawn new and myself will be constructing a reasonably large effigy to burn at this party. we have brainstormed some pretty good ideas so far but have yet to come up with anything really concrete.  i am putting this out here in hopes of gathering some suggestions as to where we should take this.  basically the concept for right now is to construct a pyramid of sorts and incorporate some plywood around the structure to provide a medium for some fractal art which anyone is more than welcome to contribute.  i am trying to throw this out here a month in advance because this is going to take a little time and i want to get everyone's suggestions compiled before construction begins.      time is of the essence here so please make your suggestions soon and help us make this a night not to be forgotten ;D

update: Magic Lantern Visuals will now be providing visual entertainment at Fractal Fields!

after being inspired by their work at Rift In Time (Minnesota), we have invited them to come to Fractal Fields to do their thang!

they have done quite a few shows in eastern Iowa, so there is a chance that many old hippies and professors from Iowa may have heard of these guys and may come out to check them out.

this gets me pumped 🙂
