Metallica sucked after Cliff died. Case in point: And Justice For All was boring as hell and the Black Album was a total sell-out…  I admit, Garage Days Re-revisited was dope! “The Wait” and other heavyness (but they were just covers).

here is my take on all of the above posts about: prayers, extra-gatherings, mentoring and stuff like that at psytrance party:

there was a very special moment at the last year Earthdance when we all gathered up together at the main stage and hit that minute of silence followed by Proffessor's set…
… but do you guys really think we need to be getting together like in the church to express our emotions about psytrance and the whole community. One of the things I love about psytrance scene is that it's a little bit unspoken, mysterious. Everyone has their own reasons and purposes of being part of it but isn't it kind of obvious we all are here for the music we love and see people we love being around. Is there really reason to openly taking about that, having a priest coordinating the whole experience of people socializnig with each other like some do during “bible studies”  8).

I really think it would be much better idea if everybody was bringing their-best-selves to those parties and maybe tried sharing some more time with each other on the dancefloor, making meals or helping Carli and Derek with their continuous projects of making our parties look so beautiful… my 2 cents.

that all sounds sensible. I too, prefer the understated spiritual aspects at parties. It's nice to see alters and the mutual respect of people. I think a (short) opening ceremony and chanting is fine too as long as it doesn't take too long or get preachy and shit. Intention is a powerful notion and dancing with intention is our divine right.

Ritesh: imho what happens there it's only because it's 4Q's church and land.I think there wouldn't be any ceremonies if they moved it to different venue (I might be wrong though cause it seems like few people from Gaian Mind crew seem to be also members of 4Q).

Ritesh and I only caught the tail end of it so maybe we just weren't around long enough to be creeped out.  I do think they have the right idea with the hippy parade/general hippy freak out theme going all weekend.  You need to find pictures of the steel/glowstick man and the flying saucer if you weren't at the main stage when they went around- freaking hilarious.

AJFA was/still is on of the best/finest/VERY technical thrash metal album that was ever written/recorded (guitars and DRUMS are fuckin' brillinat – calling it boring =  admitting you are deaf  ;D ;D ;D ;D). Black album was their passport to mainstream – I agree. But it still was solid piece of music. Sound they created on that one is amazing imho (heavy as hell “Sad But True” for example). Shit began with “Reload” ….

I think we should really focus on dancing on the dancefloor more ;D and socializing in the chillroom area more. Bringing our energy and best intentions, smiles and efforts combined with our powerfull and beautiful music is really what we need and what it's all about.
Why we always have to copy others? Why do we have to make organized religion out of it. There is enough bullshit already. Holding hands in the circle – that really creeps me out. Let's just be ourselves. Let the kindness be our ulitmate religion. BOOOOOM!!!

Overproduced? C'mon you can't be serious  ;D Again, the guitar sound (crunch, heaviness) and drums (especially floor toms) are top notch on that record. Not sure what do you mean by saying “dry” …. there are a lot of feelings (“One”, “Harvester of Sorrow” or “To LIve Is To Die”). Although I acknowledge the sound is very controversial for many heheheh. I personally LOVE it  ;D

Ok ok how about “progressive thrash/heavy metal?  You have to admit though that “Blackened” or “Dyers Eve” still can be classified as a furious thrash metal bangers …
