Dont worry about the flooding Ora as it never reached fairfield, which is about an hour south of iowa city.  Iowa city is still a little flooded, but its going down every day.

On another note, I just went and looked at the venue the other day and oh my! this is going to be a rager! the main area will be in a machine shed with a huge door so its and indoor/outdoor area, and will be packed full to the extreme as Mindoutpsyde and Sacred Sounds of Missouri are both going all out on the deco. expect loads of new visual entertainment, all illuminated by over 2000 watts of blacklight 🙂 everyone remeber to get your presales!

yes, as Chris said, most of the flooding is in Cedar Rapids, IA and Iowa City, IA, but even in these 2 cities where flooding was the most severe, the water level has dropped substantially. There has been little or no rain over the past 7-10 days, so things have improved drastically. All major interstates are open and most high ways are open, so travelling wont be an issue.

As for the town where the land is, Fairfield, IA, there isnt any flooding. So no worries!

Damn i cant wait to see you all, its been so long since Sacred Earth, time to reunite and stomp our hearts out!

um we could use some help with the door, but were not taking open volunteering really. if youd like to help out just post, message, or contact us some other way, as you just did. Wed love your help with working the gate and door. I will relay the message to Chris incase he hasnt read your post yet.

P.S. – damon's mom has been worked too much already, we must give her a break… especially since Damon is moving to Europe so soon. 🙂 so with that said, lets just enjoy Damon's company and not worry about his mother!

So my friend Josh and I were talking, and we realized that the community could be even stronger than it already is at these gatherings, and a good way to do it would be to have a communal gathering during the day on Saturday.  Sort of like the Earthdance song and prayer, but more focused on the party and the community itself.  Basically, we (whoever feels very strongly compelled to speak to the group over a mic) could lead an hour or so discussion at one of the stages on the party, what we're doing there, why we love the art/music/workshops/community, and what everyone foresees for the future.  It would basically be a big workshop at the mainstage.  I didn't think it of being an overzealous “psytrance is so amazing” discussion, but a very down-to-earth, meet and greet session where we can all be on the dancefloor and kick the second night off collectively.  I talked to Chris and he thought it was a good idea; so basically, expect a “gathering of the people” to happen Saturday at some point.  Chris offered to lead a bit of it and I would say it would be even better if all of the main mindoutpsyde organizers lead the majority of it together.  If there's really enough to say, and more people want to be involved, we might even be able to make it longer, as a large part of that afternoon is going to be without music at the mainstage anyway.  What's everyone's thoughts?  This idea got me really excited so I couldn't help sharing (plus early notice will make sure as many people wake up and come as possible).  9 days! :):):)

That's a great idea. Reminds of old school meet-ups that we used to have. Used to always have a time for people that hung out at internet sites to meet at a party, was a lot of fun.

Great idea Phil (holy crap did I actually say that?).  They had a ritual ceremony before the party started at Gaian Mind and it really seemed to focus everyone's energy and give the festival a different meaning.  Due to my timeslot I might still be sleeping, but who knows.
