But……….the highlight of MY evening was seeing something that I have never seen at an indoor Trance party. Dude being de-pantsed by the trance! That was seriously some funny shit. Never seen anyone get buck-ass naked in the middle of the dancefloor before. Manflood DEFITNETLY in full affect there. And the poor lil' girl talking to her glowstick for just about 2-3 hours. I just found that extremely amusing. Along with all the frozen spit piles outside that I almost slipped and ate shit on. All those things made for quite the interesting evening.

I personally saw 2 cases and I am sure couple more went unnoticed.
You would expect everybody to be extra careful but it was otherwise. Now the question is WHY??? What if some Univ official saw those incidents? What impression would that have made on them?
Anyway, no harm done and the party was simply CRAZY.

Positives:
Venue was great! Really enjoyed the no smoking, even though I'm a smoker. Venue head honchos were nice.
Awesome having clean bathrooms!
Finally was around to hear Machi, and it was nice recognizing a lot of tracks. Nice new stuff from Ooze (produce more tracks with Nick, please ;)), Moksa tore me apart, and Chris and Trevor's set was excellent twilight.
Great to hear Distant System finally.Negatives:
Sound towards the end of the party was pretty bad (at the end of Trevor/Chris and throughout much of Airyck's set)… I know it's typical and almost a given that every dj is going to run in the red, but with the limiters on the speakers it just ends up sounding oversaturated in the highs because of the distortion, and loses the controlled, clear, punchy sound that is really needed to trance everyone out to the fullest extent. Having someone dedicated to sound throughout the night, whether you hire him/her or not, would be advisable but I know I'm picky. I'm pretty sure Scott's sick of me complaining to him when he doesn't have anything to do with it (sorry, Scott). Thanks to the guy who finally fixed it at the tail end (think he was in charge of the system).
The party also ended too early IMO, but I know the venue was last minute and you couldn't do anything about it because of the church service, so no biggie.
Otherwise, I had a blast! Very VERY special thanks to Abe and Trevor, and each one should individually know why I'm thanking him. And of course, big thanks to Mindoutpsyde! 🙂

aktifMemberIt is very difficult for me to articulate my experience at this party with “just words.” There were so many emotions, feelings and vibrations felt throughout the night that simply cannot be explained by any language except the music. A great big grin that is still on my face is a great visual of just how good I feel about everything right now-pure bliss!
My dear dear Brothers and Sisters, my how far we have all come, and what a journey it’s been! Great unbreakable bonds have been formed, souls have realigned to their maximum awareness, yet another AMAZING evening was had by all, and an even more amazing mountain of positive memories and moments have formed once again. I can’t thank all of you amazing people enough. Your energies, spirits and smiles are the fuels that have kept the psychedelic fire in the Midwest glowing for the whole world to see. Let’s keep the love growing and the family ever expanding. Spread the words of all of your amazing times to your friends. You know you owe it to them to change their life for the better! Let’s let everyone share the amazing experiences that we have grown to love and cherish so deeply.
The venue was amazing. The beautiful architecture and lines of the building were memorizing to say the least The patterns throughout were a blast to take in. CLEAN BATHROOMS! The best ones I have ever seen at a party. Small things matter! A particular thing that I noticed about the building was how much respect was shown towards it. Seriously, you guys blew me away!!! Not one thing was damaged, no one challenged any of the rules, people were very tidy throughout the entire night!!! And clean up. Well WOW!!! So many eager people willing to do their BEST-to do whatever it took. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR HELPING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We all did such an outstanding job that the same night the coordinators asked us to come back. WELL DONE TEAM!!!
The vibe throughout the night was thick and heavy. In both rooms. I was floating around in a sea of smiling faces and warm energies walking about the venue. I was so happy to see many familiar faces and to meet all the wonderful people I met for the first time. Please join us on the MINDOUTPSYDE.COM forums. It’s a great place to meet friends, exchange ideas, talk music, and keep current on what’s happening in the future. LET’S NETWORK IT!!!
Iowa has come a long way and we have just begun our magical journey. We are all relentless, mechanical legged, dance floor killers! Be proud, be very proud!!! The future has never shined as brightly as it now does. With our great respect and responsibility last weekend, we proved to the university that what we do is a great alternative to the disgusting and dangerous bar scene that a lot of people feel is their only choice for leisure and fun! We showed how wholesome, respectful and responsible we all are. This is a giant milestone that is paving the way for the future of this amazing music and culture! Let’s keep this standard of excellence up because everyone notices it! So thanks once again!
Musically the night was stellar. I got back from “for”getting wristbands when Abrahm was wrapping up. Abe you make me so proud! Your radiance is an inspiration to us all. I am so happy for our progression as MOS! The music you play is an extension of your heart-strong beats pumping that love far and wide! HardkoreNate’s swanky selection of psychedelia was a delight to listen to. So different; yet strangely alluring. Glad ya got the crowd nice and damp with your special sauce ya poured fourth upon the trance floor. Michael Curran blasted me out of nowhere! Awesome tracks ya played. I really enjoyed your taste for the really phat, round bass lines. Great stuff!!! Puskara hopped on next and in no time the crowd went from crispy to deep fried!!! Loved your energy behind the decks and the music you played. I guess Gemini’s just lay that shit down, ey!? The tracks you slanged were RIGHT up my alley. Dark, twisted and full of groove. Way to work it brotha man!
Scott and Igor, well…What can I say. Your tunes are some of the phates, funniest, energetic and psychedelic tunes out there. Your continuous support and devotion have put you two so near and dear to my heart. You two are amazing inspiration and even better role models. Here’s to the future Boy’s!!!!
Moksa was next, delivering powerful dark sounds, brilliant nighttime music with just a touch of that twilight vibe towards the end. Flawless missing accompanied this powerful and fun set. I am so happy we did this with the ATLPsy family. IT ROCKED! You guys are striving to put fourth excellence in what you do and it shows. Thanks for all the stimulating conversations. And oh yeah, Thanks for coming “prepared” hehehe NICE!!! Chris and Trevor, MY GAWD!!! I couldn’t believe ya’ll! Wreaking shop like no tomorrow. I normally don’t freak out to twilight like that, WOWIE BOYS!! Your energies kept me stomping harder than ever. I am SO proud of you two! Nice one boys! Airycks tunes are always met with serious morning stomping. This was no exception. Amazing, powerful, melodic morning tunes straight from the core! What a way to end, ey? I couldn’t believe it, I am still in awe!!!

Um, my condition was caused by the same person that caused those other people to have issues. I just handled it a million times better. I didn't do it.

We will be speaking to people more personally about this but in the future… KNOW WHO YOU ARE BRINGING AND TAKE RESPONSABILITY FOR THEM THE WHOLE NIGHT! NO EXEPTIONS. YOU ARE RESPONSABLE FOR THOSE WHO YOU BRING!
The university venue is something we must repect more than any other venue. That means handling ourselfs professionally and responsably ALL NIGHT! There are no exeptions to this, nor is this up for debate.
Next time leave the Fu**ing sketchpads at home people, OK!

cosmicvibrationsMemberabout the girl flipping out, it should be noted that the people who brought her knew where she was & what she was doing, & apparently she goes into that “state” every time she 'explores' :P. also, when talking to her i got the distinct impression that she was simply choosing to ignore the surroundings / outside stimuli.
either way, the truth is that these things will happen, & all we can do is make sure we are extra caring as a community, & to walk up & try to help. it's a good thing to have experienced “travelers” around in these scenarios who know the terrain, so to speak; luckily, we had plenty of those on hand at tribe connection, & many tried to help.
the venue head honchos seem pretty cool, i even talked with the main Iowa U guy for a second & asked if we were doing okay respecting the venue.

PookztAMemberHey all! Thanks for throwing down another great event!! I need to catch psytrance events more often, but it's not easy without car or tent. I need to come more often so I can keep up with you all. Marathon dancing isn't easy, and I seemed to get more tuckered out this time than others.
I loved loved loved having the high ceilings in the chill space, especially since half the dancing I do these days is with poi in hands. Thanks to the person who got a pic of me doing a one-handed butterfly! I'd love to have all that head space in the main room though.
I had a transcendent experience with Androcell (or Distant System?). Completely forgetting what the name of the event was, I went into a space where I felt all the tribes I've ever been a part of coming together to dance as One. I was smiling and crying it was so beautiful. And no, I wasn't even on anything. I'm just intense like that.
Oh, and speaking of which, sorry that I wasn't very conversational with most folks (except Bryan the poi guy and the folks I drove with, Carli, Derek, and Leo). I need to learn more names, but lately I've been on overload. It seems every week I meet at least a dozen new people whose names I'd like to remember, but sadly I don't. And even beyond that, I still have trouble with people who look similar like Matt Alchemist (Chicago peep) and Igor (it's the haircut). 😛
It was great waking up for sunrise and dancing to the last bit of Airyck's set. Great morning music as always, and after 3-4 hours of sleep, I was fully energized to receive the sun's rays through the beautiful atrium. It was almost like we were outside!!
Can you believe I've been to a psytrance event at COSM, but I've never been to an outside event yet (not counting Burning Man)? Weird… :-[

Dear Nate, i dont care what you didnt do, but your carelessness in the back kitchen area with your party supplies definitely got a good look from the manager girl, and almost by her head honcho boss. youre lucky shes cool. do that stuff in a dark corner or something. if you expect to keep getting lamies at our events, start being smarter with your actions.
