mirror_airParticipantNice to meet you all, fellow trancers. 🙂
This was my first Juno Reactor, hence a childhood dream come true 🙂 I used to really like their very old (like me) goa tracks i.e. Guardian Angel (mmmm), but nowadays the guitars and African drums ..wow. Amazing performance in my opinion. Definitely one of my favorite bands.
The venue seemed a little too small for all the people who needed to tribal dance. I would have liked some extra space.
I am excited they will be playing in my home country on the 30th, just three days from now. I kind of envy the ppl in Sofia for the huge hall…i'm happy today ;D
damonMemberIt sucked.
cosmicvibrationsMemberreally Damon?!
damonMemberI knew it's going to be like that. Was hoping they'll play more old material. Besides 3-4 old tracks it was a rock band show. Bleh.

Yea, there were a couple older tracks played which were mildly interesting because the vocal parts were being sung live. Mostly a rock concert though… not what I was expecting. My own fault for not checking up on their new music 🙂
mirror_airParticipantDo ppl mean old tracks made well before the Matrix?
Not complaining about the guitars – I love guitars in a non-traditional setting, not exactly rock-band, but industrial sound.I thought “goa” was just a word in musicians' resumes nowadays.
Anybody seen Infected Mushroom lately? I am afraid they'd throw me into a deep depression if I go with certain expectations. ::)

Sorry to be off-topic. I am very curious wether you mean they are just creepy in general, or were you referring to the quality of their new albums? IM used to be among my very favorite bands.

Their new stuff makes me want to kill myself. 🙂

so true
nicksynergyMemberIn understanding the modern music of Infected Mushroom and Juno Reactor, it's important not to think of it as “psytrance” in any traditional or modern aspect. Infected Mushroom strives to be a successful pop/rock band, and Juno Reactor is making music that is more cinematic than anything (Just listen to the Labyrinth album). Infected Mushroom has sold out psytrance to a degree that other artists I like (such as Psycraft) are churning out pop crap now, too.
