Basilisk: if you are ok with formulating an opinion without viewing important pieces of information that others have viewed, that is fine. it is your choice to have a less-informed opinion on the topic, and I respect your choice.

The opinion I have formulated is that you are a poor quality information source and I need not spend a lot of time investigating your increasingly ludicrous claims. This opinion has been informed by months of interacting with you and countless hours wasted investigating previous nonsense you have spammed this forum with. Don't mistake this for me being close-minded or wishing to be “less informed.” I just have better things to do.

If I had continued to support the nano-thermite-only theory after seeing Dr. Wood's evidence, I wouldn't be a good scientist. Good scientists attempt to explain ALL the evidence, not ignore some of it, so naturally, I now support Dr. Wood, and I highly doubt that will change any time soon.

We should place cash bets on this.

You are entitled to your opinion, so thanks for sharing it. I can understand how my earlier-on posts have led you to believe that I am a poor source of information, which is fine. People that have known me longer might think otherwise, but even if they don't, oh well.

No one said you wished to be less informed, I simply said you were choosing to be, and I respect that choice. I also pointed out that this is most likely because you are busy.

I strongly encourage you to review the evidence Dr. Wood has on her website, before asking me to bet on this. You may not want to bet on it, but if you do, I am down. Here are the relevant links in case you want to look into them for yourself before betting. I do not have lots of money so I would not want to bet more than $100, and we would need to find some way to establish when we will consider her conclusions 'proven' or 'disproven'. She is in the process of finishing a book to get out her information since she has been the target of a smear and disinformation campaign to prevent her research from gaining wide-spread attention, so it may be years and years before we ever truly find out if she is right or wrong. Just in case you want to look into the evidence more before discussing this bet further, please consider checking out the following links. (note that I said 'consider') Each article I list consists of between 5 and 10 pages of information, so they are not just single pages.

Dr. Judy Wood's Journal of 9/11 Research and 9/11 Issues: http://www.drjudywood.com
Anomalies at the WTC and the Hutchison Effect: http://drjudywood.com/articles/JJ/
9/11 Weather Anomalies and Field Effects: http://drjudywood.com/articles/erin/
Star Wars Directed-Energy Weapons (DEW): http://drjudywood.com/articles/DEW/StarWarsBeam1.html
Listing of RFCs to NIST and Other Legal Challenges: http://drjudywood.com/articles/NIST/NIST_RFC.html
Dr. Judy Wood on behalf of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, Plaintiff/Relator, vs. Defendants: http://www.drjudywood.com/articles/NIST/Qui_Tam_Wood.shtml

I think we should try to get off this topic as soon as we are done discussing the possibility of this bet though, because this is border line 'conspiracy theory discussion', even though we are not directly discussing any theories. Let's try to wrap this up asap if we can.

I strongly encourage you to review the evidence Dr. Wood has on her website, before asking me to bet on this.

I reviewed the “key evidence” page which is a bunch of Youtube videos and a bullet point list of 41 unreferenced claims. I especially like claim #11:

One file cabinet with folder dividers survived.

Clearly the only explanation that fits the data is DIRECTED ENERGY WEAPONS!

the Key Evidence page is also called the Cliff Notes page, lol. good choice I guess, lazy man… you have time to insult me, but not view the full-length evidence-based articles? shame on you! 🙂

it doesnt take more than an hour to review the detailed articles on her site that I pointed ya to, but that is your call…

…but in the mean time, please don't give the readers of this forum an improper and biased view of her research based on one line of text on an enormous, evidence-packed website.

why do that? why try to discredit her? why not just state your opinion? Dr. Wood did not merely conclude that Directed Energy Weapons were involved based on one fact about file cabinets, so why are you implying that she does, or why are you ridiculing this fact and associating it with her conclusion that is based on a much larger, overwhelming body of evidence? this is very unscientific and immature of you… just saying dude, it is literally like what I observe “trolls” do in other forums… not saying you are a troll, just saying you literally just did the same thing as trolls do. not cool.

so much hatred and unscientific opinion in this forum, kinda bothers me how quickly people can move to discredit and disrespect another human being, especially one that is literally fighting for the rights and safety of all Americans and others who have been negatively impacted both directly and indirectly by the events of 9/11. (not to mention that she is the only 9/11 researcher ever to file evidence in a court-of-law in pursuit of the truth, especially considering one of her cases made it all the way to the Supreme Court in October 2009…. in addition, she lost her job at Virginia Tech because of how controversial her research is, in addition to having one of her students murdered in 2006, and in addition to receiving death threats for the reseearch she has done…. I guess I will stop there for now. Please do not insult Dr. Wood)

Don't take my word for it, don't take Basilisk's word for it, and don't merely judge the book by its cover. There is a cliff-notes page, but I truly believe the people of this forum are capable of understanding the full context of the evidence she has collected, without relying on the cliff note / key evidence page. If you want to see the evidence for yourself, see these links:

@Abe: Maybe I missed something, but how has Xeno insulted you? He hasn't been calling you names (like “lazy”), has he? You shouldn't take what he says as a personal attack. He has just been pointing out his perceptions of the shortcomings of your arguments. There's no reason to make it personal. You guys disagree, and I don't see either of you convincing the other of the validity of your view, so why not be civil about it?

i think what makes abe so mad is that he feels he is trying to help.. when others don't listen he worries that if a small group of awesome people don't care.. then why would the rest of the world?

then of course in abe's opinion this would lead to very tragic things.. like for instance.. a million dead iraqis  :-X

naomi wolf's film was pretty cool.. she does a good job of showing how similar all of it is to what happened in germany.

I can understand why everyone disagrees.. but from reading all this it seems that a lot of people are disregarding the fact that he wants to help

I still think that Spychts point was the best.. IF you all wanted abe to stop, the ONLY good hearted reason I can see is that it might attract “attention” from the wrong authorities.

I guess I sort of get it.. as I get pretty frustrated with certain religious people trying to push their beliefs on me..

    still.. 9/11 happened in 2001..

If you want to help perhaps you can commission her a web page that doesn't look like it was designed in the 1990s.

Nowhere do I find any serious presentation of a logical argument on her site. I poke around and it's all nonsense. Hurricane Erin for instance–what is the significance? Nowhere is it stated clearly. Just a lot of paranoid hand-wringing about “anomalies” without a coherent argument anywhere in sight.

See, the big problem here is that the entire site–and most of your spurious claims–aren't based on any argument at all. A motley collection of unexplained anomalies is not a theory nor an explanation. It's just random stuff that you don't happen to have an answer for. Same stuff comes up in the evolution vs creationism debate all the time. Irreducible complexity for instance. The claim is made that some biological structures are too complex to have evolved therefore they must have been designed. In a lot of cases we actually know how the structures evolved (i.e. the eye) but never mind that–for all those other cases we are stuck with we're not sure yet or directed energy weaponsit was designed! And that's why creationism is a failed dogma–it is nothing but logical fallacies, lies, misinterpretation, and spurious, irrelevant nonsense, just like what I've seen of your directed energy weapons “theory.”

What I see on Judy Wood's web site (aside from, sweet fuck, a BLINK tag) is information overload. I have no idea where to begin so I checked out “key evidence” (which isn't really evidence at all; just a list of anomalies with no references as noted). Now you tell me this is the “Cliff Notes version” and if I want to be something other than a lazy PITA I need to read an article. Fine then. If I click on the link to “Star Wars Beam Weapons” at top left (where I assume you would find something ultra-important) I find a page that has been under construction since 2006. Seriously!

I won't bore anyone with a detailed description of what I find. There isn't an equation in sight, just a lot of armchair engineering claims stating this or that isn't possible. This is followed by some absolute nonsense about earthquakes that appears to be disproving that the towers were toppled from the bottom up by a controlled demolition. Duh. Here my patience runs out. I guess I'm just lazy, aren't I? Or, more likely, whoever is running this web site has failed to get to the point because they haven't got one.
