damonMemberIt's been a looong time since my last rave heheheheh. This one was the best I've been to I have to admit. The production level was surprisingly high. Great soundsystem (now I know where Nate is coming from when he's bitching about psytrance parties being not loud enough heheheh), great visuals on main floor, very diversified music (loved Zahn's techno set) and great venue. Crowd – ;D – fun.
Despite few “glitches” (chillout that turned into killout, Machi being not able to play more than 1 track – anothr lesson for you Maciek hehehehe and hordes of “starting up” djs rolling their balls out that I met while playing I have to say I enjoyed that party a lot.
And special big “Thank you” to Nate – you took care of us like no one else before (sending your mom to our hotel room was really unnecessary 😉 ).

::) not much really other than how to deal with disappointment after not being able to play the set you put a lot of heart, time and money to create…venue – great
set up – couldn't be better (too bad I wasn't able to enjoy using it)
lasers – superb
muzik – considering I missed Primodial Ooze's set due to Damon being slow, the only set I was able to enjoy was one that Nate dropped at the end of the party – nice flow man
vibe – none, I really think you guys should make an event together with MOP one day, since they really know how to create a good one but are always lacking funds for technical aspects of the party…damonMemberwhat did I learn from this lesson?

Fuck off – I was@the venue at 11:20p and Ooze were playing since midnight – your ass did not show up untill what 1:15am? LOL. Blame your princess or yourself not me buddy ;D

From psytrance snob's point of view – you're right – there was no psychedelic family type vibe.
From wider perspective – there was a lot of energy there (it was loooong time ago since I've seen poeple dancing to hardcore).

well as a party goer I have been fed up with dj's not taking it serious enough slapping down whatever whenever without any flow but this is not what djing should be all about imho. I just want people who come to see my performence to hear the best from me every time – is there really anything wrong with it cuz as a party goer I would really appreciate if dj's who I go to see where having the same approach.
as for the muzik – I could hardly hear any melodies there: just hammers smashing concreate most of the time…. but I feel a little bit weird thinking the music should be beautiful…
this is a quote from one of the well known people in the scene: “if I am leaving the party and want to kill someone, that means the music was good…”

Devine stole the show. I knew that was going to hapen when Steve mentioned he could get him we were all like “will that put us over budget?” and we all decided it didn't matter, cuz he owns so hard. Thanks for the mosh pit, that made my night. I also loved that at one point I looked around and saw at least 25 people within 20' of me that had been raving for 15+ years. Say what you will, but to get that effect, you gotta book hardcore
The ooze came in a close second. So hard, so dark, excellent production, excellent stage presence, they had people rocking out with the serious business. We'll be bringing them back on the regular for sure. This was by far the best set I've ever heard them play.
Tron was fucking killer, but maybe we should have saved him for when he would be the only ridiculous hardcore. I think three solid hours was more than people could handle. Noted for next time. Two hour limit on full blown 200 bpm + music People were eating it up, but they were rocking so hard that it wore them out. In the fututre, we'll remember to leave you wanting more. And YES Julian is in the works for either the next one or for Halloween.
Everything else I heard in both rooms was pretty fucking good.
I loved all the work put into deco and a BIG thank you to Math static, Matt1up, and Pandemic for the best visuals seen in MN for many a year. The bar has been set really high and I hope we can keep raising it. I have faith
A huge thank you to the REAL hardcore ravers, the ones that stayed to the end and helped carry speakers and clean up. You know who you are and I hope you know how much we appreciate you. Hardcore raving is being part of the scene, not an observer. Be the party, don't complain about others failing to get it. Lead by example.
Machi, we have you down for Bi-Polar two on Halloween. I will definitly get you a proper slot on a huge sound system, but only if you promise to be there when the doors open. No more showing up at 2:30 in the morning. I waited outside for you for 45 minutes and missed most of the ooze and Devine. Maybe you SHOULD come by yourself? Theres more to the party than just your set.
Lastly, the foam in the hallways…
It's unfortunate that it happened AGIAN, but I think we have to accept the blame for not covering it up. Lesson learned, won't happen again. You can't trust any group that large to not fuck with shit, so you have to raver proof the venue.
All in all, that was a killer fucking party and I hope you all enjoyed yourselves. I think we'll definitely being doing more work with IPH in the future.

Shit like that or similar happens all the time. More parties you play more shit you'll experience Machi (I'm just trying to ease your pain here after seeing you and your wife being pissed off for the rest of the night and next day …). It's the part of the program (also being kicked out from dj booth/having our timeslot moved or shortened, having to deal with non working equipment, spinning for empty dancefloor, shitty timesluts etc etc etc … – get used to it 🙂 ).

Yeah, we didn't get the laser working till about 8 pm. It's just as well, because TIm would have been really upset to have missed Richard Devine. That set was pretty much the peak of everything he loves. Glitched out live breakcore by a true musical geniuos who understands machines and programming them on a level very few others can match.

I got some great ones of the ooze with laser glory over their heads. I think we definitly have some that will be their new promo pics 😀 You guys are in for a real treat at sacred earth. We'll do our best to make sure betty gets out to as many events as possible. Now that she's programmed, she's REALLY impressive.

I don't know why you waited for us outside for 45 minutes when we agreed I would call you when we arrived which was 12:50 not 2:30.
Now, if you book me for the latest spot available don't expect me to be there when the party starts. I don't get 80% of hardcore shit those dj's you book play plus I would have to get totally faked up to enjoy it just a little bit which I don't like to be doing before playing my sets (although all those dj's who don't care don't have a problem with it).

there where two ladies with ous who needed to refresh themselves before the party after sitting in the car for more then 6 hours and I don't think there was anything unusual or wrong with. I always want my wife to feel pretty and comfortable at the parties, I guess another weird thing on my part ::).

Why are you so concerned about me being late? It didn't affect anyone/anything …. I just got that feeling after reading your and Nate's comments that I'm the reason shit went wrong lol.
I guess I can't expect from everone else the same laid back attitude I have 8)
