Greetings friends.
I am beginning to aid the Midwest in having more workshops at local events, many people have fantastic knowledge and skills in the movement arts, spiritual content, and much more esoteric things they would love to share. This is your opportunity to do so. I am working to organize some workshops & lectures for 2 events in the Midwest – Earthdance in Illinois September 15-17 and Crystal Sky, Full Moon in Wisconsin Oct 6-8.
These would be all done at your own expense although there may be people willing to donate if you need supplies and such. The intent is to spread knowledge and help raise consciousness through the free exchange of information. I offer myself as a service to help promote, find timeslots, bounce ideas off of, help formulate lessons, and mentorship on sharing your unique information and skills with others. What I would require is a commitment to do the workshop and to be coherent enough to do it at the time slot we work out. There will also be a private forum on tribe.net for this aim. This is done with love for our budding community in the Midwest and I am excited about what we all may learn from each other.
If interested email me at [email protected] .
Even if you have no desire to teach, participation in a workshop and your enthusiasm is a priceless gift to any teacher – so be on the look out for announcements and schedules at the fantastic weekend events coming up soon!
This workshop concept is something we've always wanted to see happen at our events. I particularly hope that a series of yoga events begin at Chilluminati events. Thank you Jeff Z for taking this initiative, it is beautiful! 🙂
I think it's a great idea too! It would be cool to have so many different workshops and entertainers going on that it be impossible for one party-goer to attend everything. Then you'd want to plan your weekend around different events or just happen upon them randomly. Definitely should have a bulletin board (Jeffixer's genuinely good idea) with schedules and signup sheets posted…
yay! 🙂A couple workshops that I would be interested in taking…
any of the movement arts, yoga, sword class, fire class, meditation(moving in your mind …or not)
maybe a DJ could explain how to do DJ, shows equipment, explain what all the knobs are for on a mixer, maybe a history of the music, how it has evolved over the years, play sample of sub-genres, explain mixing, give everyone a turn at trying to mix something simple
a VJ can show they're equipment (video), explain how it works
any artist could demo their art irregardless of their medium
natrual health practioner could talk on healthy foods, organics, veggies
I'm thinking of things that make up our scene, would grow our scene, compliment our scene.
I'm going to do a pumpkin patch where people can take and carve a pumpkin if they like. Perfect for an October party. I'm going to call it:
Pauldo's Pumpkin Patch of Perversion (Be afraid, be very afraid) ;D ;D ;D
Those sound wonderful, want to teach any of them? 😀
can i carve a pumpkin, if i don't do anything naughty with it?? ;D

sicko!
I remember reading a story of a serial pumpkin violator who would go into a pumpkin patch at night, carve a hole in one and have his way with it. He was caught in the act one night by the po-po.
So you can carve a pumpkin as long as you'll still respect it in the morning. My pumpkin patch will be G- rated and kid friendly although small toddlers might be scared. ;D

Pumpkin porker: what a weirdo! (Now is Jeffz's chance to go to bat defending the veggie-sexuals)
I want to make the scariest, most gruesome carved-pumpkin imaginable… can we use paint and other foodstuffs to simulate entrails?? 🙂
