      Hi all!
Well, first of all I would like to say that this party was a little bit disappointing. I expected to see Alex Grey art work or Alex and Luke Brown`s art work for sale.Where was it??? This party was very chaotic. There was not a concentration on anything there. I noticed some kind of chaos of art, music, live painting-nothing concrete.
Second of all-music-suck! I expected to hear psychedelic music. Unfortunately, there was no connection between visionary art exhibition  and music which was played over there.
What I liked? I loved fire show-it was great guys!! There was a moment when I liked music which was played during the fire show-amazing!!
If I had not seen fire show, I would have said that I expected something completely different from this party. I have to say that in Chicago, there is a long way to make really great party with visionary art and psychedelic music. There is no environment here, there is no great music here.  If you wanna see great visionary party-go to Europe,eh.

Who said it's going to be a psytrance party? And Bluetech is not psychedelic enough? Who said there will be Alex Grey's artwork for sale? Chaotic? Yes. I agree. But Burning Man is chaotic too so it fit perfectly.

Best party in 2006 so far.

First off it was the best Chicago Burning Man party EVER, and a huge turnout. Really a great success and I had a fantastic time. It was the best organized BM party I have been to, and Liz and Matt deserve major kudos.

Re: PSY we put this event in the psytrance section of the forum because of Bluetech and also because Phidelity is a strong psychedelic artist though I was not sure what Northern would be playing at the event. Further, Chilluminati was a co-organizer of the event and had a very strong presence there, everywhere really.

I have some small criticism of the event.

About Alex Grey look at the website and it clearly says:

      “Art Installations:
Alex Grey – Chapel of Sacred Mirrors ~ http://www.sacredmirrors.org”

But there was nothing from Alex Grey at the event. Personally I am much more interested in Robert Venosa and Martina Hoffman, until Grey starts to do new work. Grey seems to be putting all of his energy into COSM right now. Hopefully he will get out of that mode eventually.

But it would be nice if the absence of Grey could be explained, because it was a huge promotional point, and I think there was a strong implication in the promotion that he might personally be there. I got asked about that a number of times by participants, and had no answer.

CHAOS>>>> Yes that is typical Burning Man. This was a Burning Man party, not a Goa party. But you have to expand your mind, here in the U.S. the psychedelic flame burns brightest because of Burning Man. Goa is a new transplant to the U.S. and I expect it will be a major light in a few years. If you go to San Francisco, psytrance parties there are heavily embedded with Burning Man influences. I love the costumes and dance performance, and hope that continues to grow with the Chilluminati parties. If you went to their website, it was very clear this was a Burning Man camp benefit. I hope the BM chaos continues!

There were other problems/fuck ups we could cry about for weeks but at the end I was really surprised with the final effect (remember last minute venue change).

PS. Working the door was fun as hell 🙂

The only way to improve is to allow for constructive criticism.

In that light I would like to also say you sucked as a door man.

Sure. I'm not saying it was a perfect event.
