Did you know that the Federal Reserve Bank secretly loaned foreign banks and corporations over $16 TRILLION (that's $16,000 BILLION / $16,000,000,000,000) of our tax dollars, without telling or asking our representatives in Congress? That's more than the ENTIRE national DEBT of the United States of America (as of 1/12/2012 the national debt is reported at just over $15 Trillion)…

The central bank that wrongly has our government's constitutional power to print money at the present moment is called the Federal Reserve Bank, and it was not founded until 1913. The Federal Reserve Bank is not a government organization yet they currently have the special money-creating power that is supposed to belong to the U.S. Congress & Treasury, as clearly stated in the Constitution of the United States of America. Instead, a bank now has it, and when that bank loans our government the money it creates for absolutely free, it charges us interest on it too… On top of that, the Federal Reserve Bank gets to make huge economic decisions and policies, such as how much money to print, how often, and which banks and corporations they will lend it to, without even discussing it with or getting approval from Congress… Now do you understand a few of the important reasons why Ron Paul and countless others want to finally audit the Federal Reserve Bank?

Article 1 Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution clearly lists the powers that the Federal Government and Congress are granted, and one of those is the power to print and regulate the money supply. Related to this is Amendment 10 of the Constitution, which clearly states that any powers not expressly granted to the Government by the Constitution, are hereby reserved for the people and their state governments. The Constitution is very clear, the U.S. Congress and Treasury are the only ones with the power to print our money and regulate the money supply, yet the non-government Federal Reserve Bank took that power away by tricking Congress in 1913.

The power to regulate the printing/creation of money has been an ongoing battle since the birth of the United States of America, when the first independent US colonies separated from Britain by starting to print their own form of money, known as “Colonial Scripts”. The ongoing struggle between the banks and early Congress over the money printing/creation power was a concern of the founding fathers of this nation, and many of them are quoted warning Americans of this very important issue. After our federal government's money printing power was later taken back by the banks, few presidents have risen up in an attempt to get the power back for Congress and the people. Andrew Jackson is one that I know of, Abraham Lincoln with his debt-free “Green Back” is another (before he was assassinated of course), and a third that I know of is John F Kennedy (and I bet you remember how that turned out)…

So you'd rather take the powers of the Fed and hand them over to an incredibly dysfunctional congress? I thought the whole idea of separating the central banking system from the government was to keep politicians from fucking up the money supply. Case in point:

Smooth sailing since the great depression, pure chaos before.

Not that there aren't valid arguments to reform with the reserve banking system… but I have a hard time understanding the particular line you're taking here.

not sure why you don't get it, this paragraph from the main post explains things quite clearly. The U.S. Constitution sets forth the rules, guidelines, and principles on which our federal government was founded and is supposed to be abiding by.

Article 1 Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution clearly lists the powers that the Federal Government and Congress are granted, and one of those is the power to print and regulate the money supply. Even though Congress makes some bad decisions, they make lots of good ones too. Furthermore, Congress is accountable to the people because they vote on things publicly. The Federal Reserve does not. Please watch the videos above of Congress exposing the Federal Reserve leadership to see real-life examples of Congress exposing the corruption 🙂
