Aah, recovery in half way stage and I am back to school with a class in another one hour.

What a party. Small but awesome vibes. Goa style and everybody playing some good Goa so that the flow is up there throughout the night. Everybody understanding psy. Since it was the first party in MN, didnt expect much but the decoration turned out to be pretty cool. Beds in the chill room was fun. Location was fun when you have to go thru the back door. Hahahhahahahah….master stroke! But seriously Minneapolis traffic sucks. As soon as we enter the city, there is a traffic jam.

Good to see and dance with Geal, Nick, Chris, Phil and all other random people whom I met for the first time. Everybody was laying it down. Was able to say hello to many people in the party.

Now about the music. Entererd when Airyck was playing his dark set. Was not particularly interesting. Well dark is not his forte. He should have been given more then one hour in the morning. And then the main people OOZE came. I am telling in caps (yes I am shouting, fuck internet etiquette of not writing everything in caps) – THEY ARE THE FUCKING SHIT! One of the best 4 hour set I have heard of them. Totally psychedelic and trippy. THEY SHOULD NOW PLAY IN BIG EUROPEAN FESTIVALS! But what the fuck is the problem with everybody. When they were at the peak of their set, half of the crowd went to chill room to chill out. People people people, OOZE are playing – SHOW THEM SOME FUCKING RESPECT!

Then the IOWA boys came down showing them how its done 🙂 Airyck laid it down as he does always. Beautiful morning tunes with lots of melody. Its always good to dance on his set. One hour of pure morning bliss. Too bad there was a problem in between but all in all a very good set. Keep it up Airyck.

Then came Collison aka Chris. Fuck, watching that small guy behind the console jumping around is sheer joy and fun. Crazy set. One of the best I have heard of him. Full power, tribal and laying it down. Guess my RED BULL did something to him. If thats the case then he should be given free RED BULLS in all parties. Got the remaining crowd back to floor and everybody laying it down for last one hour. Keep it up!

All in all a great party. Should work on the deco a little more next time. We will get our stuff from Iowa also next time. Let us know Anand. But anyway, no qualms. Had a awesome time dancing and catching up with people.

Hope to connect with you all on 3rd March 🙂

PS: Saw Sarah and Anusha taking pics. Please upload them!

I had a blast. I think everything went well considering this was the first try. Some issues to iron out, but that comes with time and with a little more organization I think we could get three times as many people the next time. All the techno kids I convinced to come down really enjoyed themselves and I believe most will be back the next time.

    Oh, and Ooze owned it.

alllllllright.  Now that i'm feeling level again i'll waste some time at work to dish out my opinion about the party.

The venue: I thought the venue worked really well.  The back door enterance allowed for a more seculded feel and the peace of mind that the party wasn't going to easily draw unwanted attention.  The main dance floor allowed for plenty of space to move around.  The chill room was a lil small, but they did well w/ the space provided.  Pillows are key  🙂  The sound from the mainstage intrudes a bit on the chill sound, but it's not too bad if the door was kept shut (although ya can always feel that bass).  The basement area was a great place to go and “chill”…lots of good chatting and smoke breaks down there.  Only comment for future parties there is to keep the lights behind the giant white sheet  off.  They tended to overlight the room, impeding on the atmosphere (primarily @ night).  Loved that you opened up the shades to allow natural illumination around morning…nice touch!

The music: Music was great the whole night.  Toki lead things off w/ those funky progressive beats…love to get a dish of progressive to kick the night off, and when it comes to that, Toki's the man.  Airyk followed w/ his night set.  While i didn't take to it as much as his morning dish, i still thought he laid down a good set.  While it was darker, many songs still had that melodic touch to them.  Then there was OOZE.  Everytime i hear these guys live they blow me away.  Powerful moving dark tunes that force ya to make all sorts of bizarre  faces.  Their DJ set which followed was a beautiful transition from their live tunes into a more morning-centric vibe…so well done.  Kudos!  Airyk came back for an hour to dish out some of his morning tracks.  Great morning vibe as always.  Following that was Collision who injected the morning w/ a big dose of power.  Even threw in a hint of nostalgia w/ Virtual Light's “Nuclear Sun” (SEOA: “Be sure to wear your shades!”)  When we left, i saw Aktif w/ headphones on, so god only knows when this winded down

The people: Every event I attend i have more and more fun talking and getting to know the people here.  Great showing from out of state psy fiends.  Nick, Chris, Ritesh, Airyck, Andand…the list goes on…it was great getting to talk w/ all of you again, can't wait till the next one

All in all, great party.  Hope the venue continues to get utilized…MN needs it!

    Cheers all, back to work…

Party was great!  Thanks Anand for everything!  Toki fucking rocked it hard, as did the Ooze, again.  They still manage to amaze me every time in some way or another.  I actually liked Airyck's nighttime set probably better than his morning, even though the mixing was a little bit off at times.  It was probably just because I had heard a good portion of the morning songs he was playing before, but nevertheless, the guy proved once again that he has talent.  Thanks for listening to my chill set by the way :).  I really liked Chris's stuff too because even though it was the morning and the music was melodic, it was still crazier than anything I usually hear at that time.  Nice work!

Overall, it was well worth it to come up there, even though finding the place took far too long and Damon didn't fucking come…  >:(

Thank you everyone who made this an awesome get together. Small, intimate setting was exactly what the doctor ordered.  Glad to see friends rocking it out, silly faces, smiles, and general pandemonium of mental cases 🙂
Exceeded my expectations many folds over.  Thanks for the medcine, and a supper comfy spot on the chillout floor.

Nothing gives me greater pleasure then seeing a new city spark with the light of psy trance and the Minneapolis crew definately came through with a little help from their friends 🙂  Was a great night, many locals I talked to were excited about further shows, so keep it goan!  Had a nice time hanging mostly in the chill room being mellow. I second the big light thing being off or changing to black lights behind it 😀  Nice homey feel to it all and look forward to further events!!

    Wonderful night…

I had a great time.  I definetly see a LOT of potential in that space.  Although this event was small in capacity, it was made up for in the vibe that was there.  Great people, great NEW people, who you could tell that needed a good private little party to jam out at.  Despite getting lost for 2 hours on the way there I arrved in excellent spirits at 12.  I saw Airycks set, interesting.  Mixing was great as usual from what I heard.  Different, but I enjoyed it non the less.  Next, Scott and Igor came Oozing into some deeper, darker, more groovier sounds.  Their sound is like opening a box with a delicious layer cake inside.  Right when you open the box to smell the goodness of the delicious cake, BAM, The layer cake slaps you across the face…HARD!  Man, did everyone get throttled or what?  I loved it, although I kept taking tons of smoke breaks downstairs, oh well, it was needed…I really love the live stuff and I was really happy with the transition that was made between live and dj…perfect!  So, 4 blissful hours later we got a hefty dose of Morning trance courtesy of Airyck, beatiful sounds.  Great tunes rejuvinated to to a new level.  Good, because I needed the extra energy for Chris' set.  Man o Man…straight morning blasters fired out of the cannons of sound.  Crunchy, groovy, great mixing.  Always love hearing you stuff man.

    The way home took 10+ hours….don't ask.  ??? 😛

Awsome, We can't wait to do a collab party up there and really blow the roof of the place.  Well, I hope to see everyone on the 3rd for the VOODOO THERAPY healing ritual.  Till then, work hard to you can play even harder on the 3rd. ;D 😮 ;D

    BoOM!

WOOOOWW!! Let me start by thanking EVERYONE who made it to the FIRST ALL PSY GATHERING in Minneapolis !!

ETL has been a fruit of hard work and lots of luck for us. We were lucky to have so many well wishers helping put together the beautiful gathering we all enjoyed.

First I would like to thank all the DJs who came from out of town and provided us with beautiful mind bending  as well as inspirational music. I have rarely seen such a high level of commitment and cooperation in any other genre of music. We thank you from our hearts for making this gathering a resounding success. I did not have a single complaint through out the night except for the attendence levels which just made it a more intimate gathering where people got to meet and make some new friends out of town.

I think that the flow of music was perfect for my taste through out the night with Bliss starting out with some nice trance tracks setting the stage for Toki who spun some night time progressive goodies. Toki always brings a different flavor to every gathering he plays at and he did not dissappoint anyone as usual and I heard many newbies loving the different style of progressive music he spun.

I have always seen Aircyk spin in the morning and always wanted to see how he would do a night set. ETL was supposed to be a gathering that approached psy from a different perspective where nightime music could be psychedelic without being overly dark and hard as it is in many of the parties I have been to. Airyck's set fit that goal to the 'T” !! His track selection had some dark melodies and sounds which coincidently had some of my fav tracks over the recent times..lol..thanks for coming out and playing for us Airyck!!

The Oooze Boobz came next with the hard pounding psy that always takes me to places in my mind I refrain from going and trainsitioned into some Goa goodness I love. Kaiser soze has exquiste taste in creating soundscapes that was shown  later on in his Dj set along with Igor. These two people complement each other in a lot of ways and that makes them better as a whole. I am sure that they will go places in the coming future and i wish them all the best for their dreams!!

Airyck came back to treat us with a Mystical morning that never goes out of taste for me. There were some surprises still left in store for the people at this point.
Chris and Nick who are always full of energy proposed to spin for us and after Airyck's set , Chris took over with some pure morning energy tracks followed by Nick. Thanks a lot for volunteering guys and we appreciate all your help.

One thing that I apologize for is the confusion about where the out of towners would be able to crash and recuperate after the party. I was totally fried by that point and was not thinking clearly!!  Me and Anusha are getting a bigger 2 bedroom townhome coming April and we want to make upto to anyone who would like to come down to MSPaul and hang out with us.

Let us hope that this is just the START of the PSY WAVE in MSPAUL and hope that you guys will join us in future events. We promise that we will go further in our planning and efforts and make the next event even more enjoyable.

Mahadev is another HINDI name for Lord Shiva or Lord Nataraja (they are all one, just different names and forms) who is considered to the dance king and the supreme God in psy-scene community. “Ki Jai” kind of means “All Hail”…so the sentence means like “All Hail Lord Shiva”.
