Damon, I agree, it did seem like a pretty “ghetto” event this time around.  That being said, I think I did more dancing at this event than I have in a LONG time.  Great party.  I'm so glad I got to see everyone again.  Favs: Robert Rich, Random chill, Kilowatts mainstage, Airyck, Aerosis, Toki and Geal (and Toki).  Let me make this clear: EVERYONE did a great job, including the visuals…which I noticed more this time around.  Those projectors and screens looked vibrant and crystal clear.  AWESOME.  Thanks Chilluminati.  🙂

We had to make last minute changes to stage placement(s)and setup because of weather, primarily… Last minute changes are always a challenge, and we did our best.  It was good practice for Sacred Earth 2009.  🙂

I really think that against all the odds Tyler brought us together again for the ultimate party experience. Thank you so much Zero Six, Scott, Igor, Random and everyone else involved for making it happen. I feel really accomplished. Total bliss connecting with music and people. Awesome deco, especially on the chill stage! such awesome new spandex and such a symmetrical lay out!

Awesome music, great line ups on both stages, both nights, was hard to pick between the two!

Awesome people, despite the rain and cold, people were out and about til the late hours of the morning, stompin, socializing, and helpin out! Got to meet Pauldo's twin sister and her partner (their first Psy event), was great to chat with these ladies!

Awesome work shops, had lots of fun hosting Life Psyence with Kevin, Machi's breathing workshop was great, and Carli's stretching workshop got me nice and loose before i hit the sack!

Awesome kids area! Complete with rope lights and some deco, it was cool to have a welcoming kids area so that the little ones could enjoy the event also. how cute they all were 🙂

Awesome times! 🙂  Missin' everyone already, so great to see so many faces I havent seen in a while. Hope to see everyone very soon, take care!

With the chilly rain and the last minute change of the psytrance stage I was initially skeptical about how Earthdance would pan out in the end. I was in a really shitty mood after being cold and soaked up to the knees Sat afternoon. A few hours of drying out next to a nice hot fire really did the trick though. When it was all said and done I'd mark this one down as a big success… lemons into lemonade as it were. 🙂

Carli and I really hadn't planned on needing to fill that whole “party central” space with deco and were somewhat unprepared to do so. All of our planning efforts were focused on the much smaller stage in back / outdoor deco. We did what we could with the materials that we brought and the time that we had. That pyramid of mine did NOT do well with the added water weight from the rain, hehe… a learning experience to be sure. My sincere thanks go out to the couple who hung the 5 or 6 MOP tapestries in there on Saturday evening… it really brought the room together. I don't know how you two were able to reach the rafters of that building even with the big ladder; that was something that Carli and I had deemed impossible… I had a really hard time reaching that high even with the ladder on top of the stage. I'm afraid of heights tho  ;D Way to go! Felix and Mason's visuals were the icing on the cake!

The progression of music on the psytrance stage was excellent overall… increasing energy as the sun went down leading into night-time insanity and then back to more mellowness for the daytime. I thoroughly enjoyed all the sets that I was present (or partially present) for… Saeros, Kilowatts (great!), Androcell, Paradigm, Machi, Airyck, Geal, and Toki (awesome way to finish off the event.) Ghreg on Earth was WAY too intense for me… I was actually having a negative physical reaction to the music from back at my campsite and had to go hide at the chill stage to recuperate.

The chill space deco was also fantastic… completely appropriate for the space and an excellent example of pre-planning gone RIGHT! The spandex thing really worked out well, I loved the lightning fabric! The Paka-Paka light show visuals were absolutely stellar and provided an AMAZING backdrop for the DJ. Top shelf all the way.

Robert Rich's set was phenomenal. I really can't relate in words how wonderful that performance was. His music combined with the amazing morphing deity video playing behind him was one of the most intense experiences of my entire life. I cannot wait to see this guy again… hopefully soon! Everyone who enjoyed that performance should really do a little research into how his music is created; you'll gain an even greater appreciation of what you witnessed. Perfection. Truly a master of his craft. WOW!

I also had a great time at the chill stage listening to Primordial Ooze, Kilowatts, Distant System (unreleased stuff was like a breath of fresh air, fantastic!), and Derby. Most of my Saturday night was spent there.

Huge thanks go out to everyone who helped out in any respect. Everyone can only do so much and I know Carli and I were pushed to the breaking point. (she's actually home sick today) The older I get the more I have to pay attention to what my body is telling me so I don't end up as a lump of flesh at the end of a weekend. Ascension, man… you are a machine and your hard work is sincerely appreciated. Drinks on me for sure next time we see each other 🙂  Scott… Tyler… what can I say. The two of you continue to work your ass off and it shows; I'm honored to be able to work with such responsible, driven people… truly special in the entertainment industry. Don't stop… ever… please  ;D

It's been an absolutely killer festival season and the midwest scene continues to grow and evolve. We are a now a veritable powerhouse of musical and artistic talent. Obstacles are continually overcome and new faces pop-up to replace those who have moved on or moved away. I had an absolute blast; one of the most fantastic summers on record. Let's fucking rock it even more in 2009!!! BOOOOOOOOM!

Ghetto?  The only ghetto part that I had seen were all of the beer bottles laying around our campsite.  I was really happy with all of the music I heard all weekend.  There wasn't a single set that I wasn't able to get into.  Everything was above par.

My twin sister showed up.  I couldn't fully explain in words what our events are like so I told her she had to just come and walk in my world.  It was great to show her a part of my life that she didn't have any idea about.  I got a lot of love from the Iowa crew and I really needed it.  Love you all!

I can not even begin to put into words my feelings after attending Earthdance this year. The music, the visuals, the deco, the workshops, and most of all the people… everything was just too beautiful to express. I could not have asked for anything more. Thank you Chilluminati and anyone who had any part in this event. It will resonate in me as long as I live.
