Hey so how many of you guys have drums/djembes/tablas and such. Can you all bring em? Me and a few buddies from the terrakroma crew have started getting people to bring these lovely things to parties and like to play them in conjunction with the music (in a little corner around the back of the dancefloor)

Not to be a jackass, but some people, or maybe it's just me, consider such things in addition to the music noise pollution.  It adds sounds to the overall experience that the dj/artists didn't intend in the music.  It's basically like you are butting in and performing with the performer without being invited.  Granted, if the system is loud enough, it sometimes doesn't matter, but if you're inviting A LOT of people to do it, it might.  Drum circles annoy the hell out of me (though ones away from the dancefloor or as a closing ceremony wouldn't).  My 2 cents.  8)

If an act specifically wants some decent players to accompany them that is fine. However, as 90% of people who bring drums can't keep a rhythm it usually annoys the shit out of me. Its like having a blown speaker farting on every kick when you have a jumble of off time conga and djembe's going on behind you. 

There should be a designated area away from the trance floor for a drum circle. Luckily at the venue you will be able to hear the music from quite a ways away. How about the pavilion in the back of the field where the main stage is to be designated as a drum circle area.
