Mad props to Trance Psyndicate, Chilluminati, and everyone else for pulling this off.  I had one helluva great time.  Thank you so much for bringing myself and the Overmind Works crew out from the desert of Arizona. 

I had a great time mixing visuals all of friday night as well as late saturday/sunday morning.  I hope everyone enjoyed the visuals.  For a couple of hours sunday morning, you may have noticed that the visuals were particularily intense.  Thats because Dr Spook, Psymbolic and myself were going at it simultaneously! 

The music and vibe was great all weekend long and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.  It was great meeting and hanging out with many of you.  You guys have quite a sky out there!  The venue was great as well. 

As I mentioned to Tyler, I'm ready to come back up there anytime!  Just let me know ahead of time and I'd love to go out there and mix visuals at another party somtime.

Thanks!  Most of my visuals are geared towards high-bpm music so mixing to downtempo was quite a challenge for me.  Theres a first time for everything though!  I really enjoyed when the peeps started dancing in front of the projector and making shadows, that was dope.  I tried using different vids that would make them stand out.  Whoever those people were, thank you!

To be honest, I think what happened saturday night was that we were all trying to blend our visuals together and when the visuals by themselves are already highly psychadelic then once you mix them together it becomes convoluted and “muddy”.  <–but that was towards the end of the night when all 3 of us were mixing at the same time.

Personally I thought the visuals where awesome both nights i honestly could have just sat there watching em all night. There was soo much shit going on at times I had to stop dancing and just take a step back and check everything out. I liked to crystal looking people who where flying around. Some shit was just off the wall, the blue transformer robot and the head with like 8 legs blowing bubbles made me laugh. I love fractals, spirals and when it looks like your going through a tunnel, thats whats up

When I saw that girl with dreads moving I couldn't stop myself and I forced her to dance between projector and screen. When her friends joined her …. awesomness  😉

Psymbolic's stuff = still psychedelic (they are my favourite vjs here in Midwest) but too much “urban/industrial” – sometimes it wasn't blending well …. but overall result was great.

Thats one of the funnier things I've read. California is exactly where I'd expect to find tons of altars.

in Nor. cal there is a specific deco group, that just focuses on altars

So, cal you dont see em so much

the most ornate altars are always at Gil shows

but next to N. Cal, the Asheville folks incorporate them into the deco and vibe of most events
