I've found my meat buying to be less and less these days. I'm just so sketched out by the whole proccess. I just looked into buying a 1/4 side (80 lbs) of local mountain grown clover fed organic beef and it would only be $200.

I think it's about time to start buying meat and produce directly from farmers. You almost need to go see the operation before you can trust it these days.

^ Fuck yeah, dude. That is how it is done. I'm pretty much veg, but if was going to eat beef, I'd get my cow chunk from a small, committed grower.

That article doesnt really say much. 🙁 Its interesting to note tho that, the suspect bacteria is less prevalent in beef, which is really the only meat that is left rare enough to be a problem. I think its scary to think that turkey/chicken/pork would be cooked unsafe in general. Safe handling is key here, regardless of what is becoming more common. Dont let this scare you from enjoying yourself! Be safe, be smart, enjoy yourself!
